Had an older version of the dse905 for a couple of days before they went to their permanent home as gifts. It's a finicky little
device lol. When they first came out, they had a big problem with turning on by themselves. I contacted a vendor and asked him about the problem. He said they were sending lots of them back due to this problem. One way to know if it is doing this he said, was to put the battery in upside down, and if it still works, you know you have a defective device. It could be another issue as well. Neither of the two I got as gifts lasted longer than two months or so. One died completely, the other just kept turning on, and popping atty's. I hate to tell someone to get another PV, but in this case, if they have not improved the product I would think it's probably not going to last you very long. Sorry. I hope I'm wrong, and that it last for years. But with my experience with them, it just seems likely.
