Well i recently got a 801 and now that the atomizer is breaking in im really liking it. My only issue is the cart seems to last shorter then my 901 or 401. I don't understand this since the cart takes so much more liquid.

I get about 5 good rips and then i start to get the plastic taste. If i leave it sitting so the cart is rised then liquid will drain into the atty and i can get another 1-2 good hits.

Is there any trick to getting more good hits? I have a straw in the cart which i think helps some, but i hear people talking about it lasting half a day and such.

I have the 801 from heavensgift that i think has the higher bridge

The assumption would be if you require more liquid than the cartridge can provide, you will run out of liquid fairly quickly, and have a few sub-normal draws. There is nothing you can do when you ask more than the cartridge can give, except top it off regularly. I started with a penstyle device and, to this day, still vape a penstyle atomizer. The frustrations with cartridges led me to dripping, which I do exclusively.

Polyfill does not wick very well , usually with a penstyle only half of my cart was used , just the nature of the beast. These devices weren't really designed to be used the way we are using them , which is why most instruction manuals still say "dripping juice directly on the atomizer will ruin the unit"

Have you tried the autodrip mod? It involves emptying the cart of polyfill, putting half of a clicky-pen spring inside the cart about 4/5 of the way up, filling it up to the top of the spring, then putting a layer of polyfill over the spring. The spring supports the polyfill, which in turn keeps the cart from leaking. I've heard it works wonders. Look it up. Might fix your worries.

You know ... It may be an atomizer issue. I have some Penstyle atomizers that perform perfectly when dripping, but not so well with a cart. So I do have a few Pen attys set aside for dripping only. But most of my Pen attys will do fine with the cart. BUT, they are RN4072's, not DSE801's.

Do you think that high and low bridges play a part in this?

I use 801/Penstyle exclusively, and have to say that a cart of this size is just too large to vaporize all of the liquid. This is why I started dripping. I found myself getting the bad taste no matter what filler (or cart mod) I used, because half of the liquid was still trapped down in the bottom side of the cart.

The good news is, the 801/Penstyle atty is a great dripper. I have tried Kissbox and RN4072's and both work really well, though the RN4072's are a bit more leaky. Either way, they hold 4-6 drops, depending on your voltage, so to get a full carts worth of drops, you're looking at redripping 5-7 times, not a real big deal considering you may fumble around with the cart trying to get it to wick properly at least that many times or more, before you use all 30 drops the cart will hold.

Auto battery vapers beware, as always, with dripping :)

I'm using BE112 attys (these are low bridge) and stuffing my carts with blue foam. I just had to get the foam sized properly (just tight enough to keep the juice from leaking out) to make it work okay. If you wait 15-20 seconds between hits then it wicks well enough.

Lately I only use the carts while driving. Otherwise I drip.
