I have a little 510 collection and on a whim, bought a dse 801. Wow, those are big cartridges! The automatic battery is different but I can live with that. I think I like it except for one thing. The tips on the carts. The plastic is kind of cheap and it collapses on inhale. I use flat tips on my 510s and love them.

Are blank cartridges available for the 801s that are a more solid smooth plastic? The vendor was out of blanks so I bought some prefilleds. The mouth tips are also a bit on the thin side. I like the thought of the big battery and from the looks of it, the cartridges can hold a ton of juice so I don't have to fill as much but the mouth piece is not pleasing me one bit.
I want to enjoy my new purchase but this small detail is killing that.

Any suggestions?

Thank you. Hopefully that will improve it. I am thinking this is a learning curve though. I'll purchase some of the carts you suggested.

I should of stuck with my 510s. I think I took a step backwards with this device. I'll give it a few days and then decide. It vapes nice but the taste is not there. I didn't spend too much on it and the vendor was great so worst case it will be a nice back up.
I hope to be analog free before summer (still hitting them in the a.m.) If I make it I think I'll celebrate by getting myself chucked. LOL!

I will assume from your post that you are vap'n at 3.7v. If you get a chance to attend a vap meeting in your state you will be able to place your atty's (both 510 and 801) on someone's 5v or 6v mod. You are in for an experience!:)

I've been playing with these PV's for over 8 months now and really love the 5v and 6v options with both a 510 and 801 atty. Give it a try if you can.

I've been vaping on it for the last hour or so. No burnt hits like I get on the 510 occassionally, nice vape but it is cooler and the flavor isn't there. Trying to hit that fine perfect line which is why I gave it a try.

I do seem to get my nic hit better with it and maybe that is because it doesn't vape as hot as my 510. No juice leaking, no juice in the mouth so I will give it a few positive notes. I definately will give it a fair chance. I have the feeling I'll be like many of the ECF folks with a little collection of various vaping devices!

Yes, I've been vaping on the standard batteries that come with the kits on both devices.
I need to wait a while before trying anything else. At this rate, I am gonna need to be off analogs for about six months before I break even! LOL!

Hey Lilibet, yep definitely a different experience!

Katattack, the 801 is yes a 2 piece cartridge kinda strange and different, but great for dripping if you don't want to tale pipe you can just use the mouth piece with the filler holder part off . I'm not familiar with the be112 but from what I understand they interchange but don't know the exact difference

Is the vape with the 801 on the chuck warmer? I just am not getting the taste I do with the 510 and am not sure I like to ''cool'' vape. It's definately gonna hit the cupboard for awhile. I used it off and on all evening. Thought I'd like it but nope, strictly a back up I think. I will order some of those solid plastic tips though, the soft plastic ones kinda feel/taste nasty.

Thanks for the info. I can see why some would love it and for the same reasons, others dislike it.
