i just got my totallywicked platinum DSE 901 today. it's only been 7 hours and i'm using my 4th battery. How long are these batteries supposed to last? they blink 10 times which means it's time to recharge right? Do they ever blink like that when they aren't discharged yet?

I just got my DSE901 from Puresmoker the other day, it came instructions that said I should charge the batteries 12 hours before using them and then 4 hours every time after. I did this and my first battery lasted me almost 6 hours, I don't chain smoke.
Mine did blink but I was able to use it for a little bit longer before changing it.

Did you charge them before using them? It also depends how much you vape.
When I constantly vape it runs out faster than when i vape here and there.

Yea,you should charge it first time for at least 8 hours.My batteries last from 3 to 5 hours.
They blink 10 times when the automatic cut-off is activated. This happens when you take a drag past 5 seconds. Some models have a 7 second cut-off as well. The automatic cut-off is there to prevent you from over heating the atomizer. This is totally normal. The battery will blink at least twenty times when it is reaching the end of its charge.
I rotate 2 batteries through the day and have to recharge each about 3 times. So yeah, about 3 hours usage per charge per battery. (I'm a 901 too).
You really can't compare the number of hours, it really depends on how much you are using it. I get an hour to an hour and a half on a 901 with constant vape, if I don't use it at all then it lasts me all day... either way though the ten flashes don't indicate a dead battery, it just means the cut-off was activated. See my above post.
my instruction book says it only flashes for 4 seconds if you inhale continuously more than 5 seconds. when it flashes for 10 seconds it means battery needs charging
I know that when my 901 batteries flash 10 times it's because of the cutoff. When my battery is dying it flashes for 20 or so. I also know that the manuals for most these things aren't with the paper they are printed on. The whole thing should be on engrish.com. So take whatever they say with a grain of salt. Most of them claim a cartridge lasts for several packs when it just isn't true.
In this case though the manual is correct. In your first post you said that it blinked ten times, is your last post you said it blinked for ten seconds. Which is it? It should blink about twice a second so if it is blinking about ten times (about five seconds) it is the cut-off, if twenty (about ten seconds) your battery is ending it's charge.

Very good point, should have said I vape most of the day as I work from home.
So my estimation would be 2 batts/3-4 recharges each during day = +/- 3 hrs per batt.
ok it must be the cut off because i just got done charging a battery and the light was green on recharger. i took a few puffs and it started blinking again
When my 901 battery keeps blinking and doesn't stop, it means I have hit 2000 puffs and it is entering it's cleaning cycle and the atomizer starts to get real hot. Some people say that's a bad thing, some say it helps burn stuff off the atty. I always unscrew it to make it stop- I think heating the atty too hot has got to be bad for it, whether it burns stuff off or not. My atty wick looks clean, I can still see the metal wick shining clearly just like it was new.

so mostly green. is that an indication that it is done charging? or should i just go by, "it's been 4 hours take the thing off the charger?"
also, just ordered new batts. the indicator light is 100% green after 4 hours. still charge it for another 4 hours for a total of 8 hours?

Try leaving them overnight, or get a timer. Leave them 4 hours and then test it... If it still gives you green blinking, the battery is definitely not charging... Can you get another charger? exhaust all possibilities before exchanging... Maybe the charger is faulty.
I have five 901 batteries and I have found that when it is time for me to recharge one of them it will flash about 8-10 times. When I am over using it it will flash about 15 times and then I can't use it for a couple minutes. If I do try to use it, it will keep flashing. Every once in a while the battery will flash 30 times and from what I have read this is a self cleaning mode. The atomizer gets really hot and it ends up tasting really gross. I make sure I disconnect the battery when this happens. I have to blow all of the juice out of my atomizer to get rid of the nasty taste and then drip a drop or two before using the atomizer again.
