OK - first equipment malfunction. I have a battery that worked fine for the first couple of days, now last night when I was using it the LED lit up and stayed lit - I unscrewed it from the atomizer real fast (only atomizer I have right now until PS gets his move done!!!) and set it aside. I tried it again this morning - as soon as I took that first morning drag it happened again and I pulled the atomizer again and tossed the battery aside...

Suggestions? Do I have a dud?

you may have some liquid inside the batter causing the auto switch to stick.

take a tissue and make a fine point and stick it in the battery hole and twist it around in there...

also... blow into the led side of the battery to help in releasing the liquid

Having a similar problem. This battery's normal LED color is orange, but it's staying on solid green (its trouble-color), no blinking. After reading this thread, I tried the tissue trick, tried blowing canned air into the hole-end of the battery, and even tried the blowing into the LED side of the battery bit... but I'm assuming the cover of the LED is not air-permeable. I tried gently prying up one of the tiny notches on either side of that, got no movement, and I didn't want to wreck the thing so I stopped.

I don't want to hook it up to the atomizer and blow through that way, because I hooked it up just to see if it was actually charged (green being its charge-me color), and my atomizer got REALLY hot REALLY fast.

Can anyone tell me how you disassemble a 901 battery to check contacts and such?

TIA.

Ah. I found a trick somewhere on here that involved sticking a paperclip into the battery hole and wiggling it around -- I actually used a small nail -- and at least the LED trouble-light finally went out. When I put it back on the charger to see if it was charged or not, the LED trouble-light came on solid again. I got the light to go out again, screwed that battery onto an atomizer, and it vaped fine. But when I screw the battery back into either of my 2 chargers -- the trouble-light comes on solid and stays that way. That battery's probably fully charged but I have no way of knowing (be nice if these things could have a battery gauge like a phone or an iPod).

I'm having this issue with a couple of my 901 batts, but only if they are held LED-up. Meaning, if I turn them so the LED is up, the batt activates - it turns off when held horizontally or LED-down. WTH?

That would be a sign of liquid in the battery tube. When the LED is up, the liquid rests its weight on the switch causing it to connect down to the other contact. I recommend just simply standing the batt (LED up) for a few days....same as you would (should) do with atoms :) Hope your other atom arrives soon....I know the fear all too well of losing the last atom!8-o

All he above are excellent solutions and I have used them all. These solutions work. My biggest problem is defective batteries. I have been through about 6 now and I am at 42 days without an Anolog as of today. I love these e-cigs as an alternative but they are not a perfect science. Just keep working with it. Also I recommend a couple of extra batteries and a couple of atomizers. Stick with it, I am.
