DSE901 Newbie question

Hi All

Got my first 901 last Friday. It has been working great. I have been careful to keep my cartridges topped off and switch the battery out every day.

Today, I noticed after taking a drag, that my led starting blinking orange. (My normal led color is blue) After it started blinking, I then noticed a burnt taste when I took another drag. I'm using vanilla e-liquid...it tasted like a burnt marshmallow

Also, the drag is very weak...not much smoke, etc.

I have been very careful with the atomizer, following Phil's suggestions on his site to put a drop of liquid in there once in a while to keep it from drying out, etc.

I am wondering if someone could tell me what the problem is an how to remedy it.

How many blinks?

It was either a cleaning cycle, or you need to recharge.

(The blue LEDs blink orange for warnings and such. That's normal.)

I am a 901 user as well. Here is what I know:
LED blinking - battery is dying, you puffed too long (over 5 seconds), you puffed too many times in a minute (I think 16 is the magic number), cleaning cycle is active (activates after approx. 1000 puffs).

As for vapor...you need to give it a primer puff, then the main inhale puff. Also depends what type of juice U use...PG or VG....the VG is better vapor, but sweeter tasting.

The 901 is a juice pig...plain and simple. I spent the first 2 weeks using carts and always getting juice in my mouth. Now I simply drip directly on the atom and no longer use carts.

From your description of the problem....I would say you are running your cart dry. Try dripping (without any cart) and take a few puffs. You will find the experience more enjoyable
