I also began a month ago with the 901 ... mainly because of it's look. Soon discovered that I had to recharge the batteries about every 2 hrs, and that got old FAST. So got an eGo 510 with a far larger batt, and I love it. It stays charged for almost a full day!

Thanks dude, could you explain more about 510?
I saw they almost come with manual battery on starter kits. Does any 510 kit has auto battery?
Also, what do you mean the 901 got old fast? You mean the carts or the atomizer?
It seems like that 510 has a strong battery. But, would it become a bit heavy?
I am new here, thank you so much for your comment.

i can help ya out a lil bit, ive found that with the 901 theres better flavor all around however with a 510 theres more TH, i will have to say that either way you go id try and go for a fat bat style like a riva, ego or the like, unless your worried about it looking like a cig, if your ok with having a 2 peice design theres also the kr808 wich is more like the 901 but the batteries are better!-) and decent TH

As far as batteries they will be similar in battery life. There are auto 510s out there. If you are concerned with battery life I would go to a bigger battery like an ego or riva. There are 901 Rivas if you do want to go with the 901.

As far as manual or auto. I like auto batteries, but I don't like that juice can get into the battery and kill it. I also don't like the automatic cut off times. The manual gives you more control on how long your draw will be, and there is no need to prime it like an auto. You can just press the button for a second before you inhale.

As far as the atomizer goes i prefer the 901 because the flavor is much better than the 510 IMO. The throat hit is greater on a 510 though.

It is really about personal preference, but I hope I gave enough info that you can make an educated decision.

I had trouble with DSE901 attys and it seems much harder to find cartomizers for DSE901. I had trouble with both degraded airflow and difficulty in cleaning the tightly sealed coil compartment. The atomizers were great when I got them (except for the side air hole which leaks juice) but they degraded too quickly and could not be fixed.

Also, most people here use and recommend manual batteries. 510 manual batteries are totally sealed on the threaded end so they are very safe for dripping and refilled cartomizers (autos are at risk of a drip damaging or killing their drag sensor, and to a lesser extent manuals with an open threaded end hole can get juice in them). I love 510 manuals. 901 manuals are not totally sealed and most of the nice cig-pack look 901 PCC cases don't accept manual batteries.

For supplies - there are lots of choices available for 510 - many different types of cartomizers as week as tank attys and tanks. For 901 there is not a lot of choice that I have seen. Some KR808D-1 cartos will work and some need an adapter.

I saw someone talk about the G4 cart for 510. Is that any good?
It seems never leak the juice out.
