as far as I know the 18650 would be about 18mm and that would be way too big.
the 17670 should be about 17mm wide and that would be pushing it.
I bored mine out to about 16mm and I don't feel comfortable going much wider than that.

yes, make sure that they are close to the size of the rcr123 15250 i think 750mah or 900mah will be fine but the size has to be close to 15250
15=15mm wide which actually is about 16mm so bore out your bottom half to about 16mm
25=25mm long 27 would also work too i believe but that would be 15270
0=something i can't remember but doesn't matter
so (15)(25)(0)

Hee... the 0=circular - would matter a lot if they ended up being square 8-o

Wow...I thought about doing this when I got my 905 a few days ago, but I was fairly certain that since it's activated digitally and not mechanically, it would fry the microchip(designed to run on 3.7v)...hmm...Well, I'm gonna have to watch this thread for awhile-if it lasts, and you guys don't burn these up, I might just have to try it (with 123A's).

Hey kevbow, I've got a question for you. At first my 6volt 905 seemed to be great, but just recently I have had a small problem in the sense that sometimes i get a burnt taste. Any idea on what the burnt taste would be? is it the atomizer? is there anything i can do to prevent that? maybe I'm holding the button too long but i didnt think i was?

That's really sweet-you can see that around 3 min. into the vid, the LED "code" is different (one long blink)...makes me think that it was designed for a 6v release sometime in the future. Very sweet.

I also got that every once in a while. Then I used to fluval foam instead of the poly-fill and it got rid of the problem. I believe it's the poly-fill burning when there is not enough juice at the top of the cart.

Fluval foam is pretty much the same thing as the blue foam mod. It's just clear and not blue. You can find it at any petsmart store in the aquarium section. It comes in a tall box. Costs about $7.00 and you get enough to make enough carts to last you a very long time.

Ok so how certain are you that the "burnt tast" was the poly? I mean don't other mods use 6 volts with no effect on the poly. Honestly I think you are right tho because I can't find any other explanation. And I found that when I vape at 6 volts and looked at some atty's that some poly fibers were stuck to the bridge...i pulled the poly fibers off the bridge and it slowly went away...so maybe you are right kevbow, I'm about to head to the PetSmart right now to get some...until then I'll be stuck with the 3.7v

Make sure you rinse the fluval under hot water then dry before using.

ya...you definitely have to rinse it out before using.

ok I'm about to try that now actually, except i'm gonna rinse it out with purified water by heating it up on the stove to make sure there is no unwanted contaminants.

also, how tight would you recommend that I pack the fluval? how tight and any other advice on packing fluval?

Kevbow, I rinsed the foam out twice with hot water and for some reason I still feel like i'm getting a hint of the fluval smell, i'm not sure why right now but i'll keep experimenting,

it's fluval brand and it did have a certain smell to it. did yours have any kind of noticeable smell when you bought it?

Well you can try a different foam (wash well). This one has a different density but works well. Remember foam doesn't really absorb the juice it just holds it. You don't want to pack it in, just a slight compression.. You could also make the plug a little V shaped, point at the bottom. Note this foam is directional, use the little drop on the package as your flow line.
