any suggestions. I am fairly new to vaping and the advice and them reads I have gotten from this forum have been amazing. Anyway I have a Pico which I really like but I am looking to add to my vaping world :). Ultimately I'd like something that maybe has a little more battery life. I have considered the aio devices, dual battery devices, and internal battery devices...there are so many things to choose from and I can't choose. I would love to get a cute awesome looking set up. Not really a cloud chaser, more of a flavor chaser...and I dont think I am quite ready to start trying to build yet. I had thought about a Sigelei originally, but have been uncertain with all the drama, also thought about a reuleaux but uncertain about the size. Any suggestions thoughts on device and tank setups would be super appreciated

    The available options are:
    • Get USB cables+charge adapters for home, work and the car
    • Get extra batteries, carrying case(s) and external charger
    • Get another of the same mod (one can be charging while the other one is in active use)
    • Get another mod which has more maH battery life
    The choices there are:
    • Internal battery
    • DUAL 18650's
    • 26650
Most would not suggest the internal battery mods unless your electrically/mechanically inclined as it might be a PITA to replace the battery once it is worn out. (these batteries only have so many charge/discharge cycles available, they do wear out)

The dual 18650 configuration is the most popular choice. Not only is there more maH available, but most of these mods are capable of 2x the power output of single 18650 mods (like the Pico).

The 26650 mod option might give you more maH, however since it is a single cell it will have similar output power as your current Pico device has.

Surely the least expensive option is getting outfitted to charge your Pico at home, at work and in the car. USB cords and 12V-USB charge adapters are inexpensive.

Oh boy I have have plenty of chargers around. Car (which Is pretty much my office too) and home. I just seem to have to plug it in a good bit. Plus like having options. Think I starting to fall down the rabbit hole of vaping

I don't do internal battery mods, sometimes it can be a bear finding a replacement battery, sometimes they die shortly after the waurnty is over, etc.
If you really like the Pico, as I do, you might look at the Istick 100w, dual 18650's but not much larger than the Pico. Or for stupid long run times get the Istick 200w (what I just ordered) and deal with the size of it.
For batteries check out 101vapes right now, I wish I had more money to jump on this sale!

A mod with internal cells will have a limited lifespan (300) charges approximately. Then,, paperweight.
When looking for dual 18650s, pay attention to reviews dealing with the ergonomics of the device. You are not going to find a cute little one.
I have a Cubis with a nice feel, I'm sure there are others..

    This^

If your a beginner then it's fine. If your serious about vaping then go with replaceable batteries. My personal favorites mech/high wattage Samsung 25r's 2500mah(green wrapper=newer vs blue=older) and LG hg 2's 3000mah for lower watt's ~70 box mods.

Everyone will have there own preference of mod manufacturer, personally I like ipv, I've had a ipv3(still works), then a ipv4(since hype, but is junk imo/still works tho) Ipv3 li vr(will rock this till it dies) I personally only use wattage mode(Ni80)/ have my own built in body temp/flavor/vapor output/dry control heh. So temp control means nothing to me. I like my rx200/s but there not pocket friendly so it stays on my desk.

It's never a good idea to charge any device with a charger made for another device.

This is why GeorgeS suggested you "get chargers" instead of "use chargers you have laying around."

Vapers should always put safety and common sense above convenience.

Back on topic, from cell phones to mods, I'm not a big fan anything that doesn't have replaceable batteries.

    Well err..... actually NO.

Unless of course we are talking about cheap Chinese knock off junk - (which IMHO ought not be purchased in the 1st place). While the handful or less of vaping devices which required the charge current to be limited at the charger have now become mostly an urban legend (and not sold or marketed for years) with their disturbing lack of quality preached by "don't use USB charging" missionaries any modern name brand vaping mod that claims USB charging in their manual (and they only give you a USB cable to do it with) actually MEANS that the device is perfectly safe being charged by USB.

A standard USB (xxxV to 5V converter) can provide anywhere from 0.5A to 2A charge current. It is up to the device as to how much current it wants or needs.

As measured by a AMP meter your Pico will draw 0.85A from a USB port while charging. (the same or higher rate than my NiteCore i4 charger which tops out at 0.75A per cell)

I use my "USB Charger"(s) for my cell phone, Bluetooth headset/head phones, iPad, iPod and countless other USB charging devices. Including my vapor mods.

If you already have USB charge 'stations' at home, office and car then maybe a LG HG2 3000maH battery might last you longer then what your currently using.

Some devices use internal battery packs that are soldered in place and are not user replaceable. But some are replaceable, just not as easily as swapping out an 18650.

The Chargers I have are not necessarily the ones that came in the package (I keep that one at home in my kitchen) but they are all the exact same output connectors etc. I have used them to charge a variety of things from phones to tablets and even a toy dragon The one in my car is actually one that came with a tablet? Is that a bad idea? Would I need to get another one from eleaf? I actually will probably get an external charger this week any but I'm still new to this so I will take any thoughts or safety tips

All will work to recharge both internal and replaceable batteries. However, if it's your only mod, be aware you'll be sitting and staring at it for a while as it recharges. Me? I'd rather swap out a set of batteries and continue vaping while the others charge in an external battery charger. I can also throw a few in my bag (in silicone sleeves) when out or traveling, and again swap out should I be running low on power.

Don't worry about it, you're fine with any of the chargers you use. Worst that can happen is that your devices charge a bit slower then they are able to.

I'm afraid that Scotittude's well meant advice is a little outdated now that everything is using the 5V standard.
