It's not common because unless you stacked the coils and instead put one either side of the posts, you'd have to drill another airhole to get air to the back one and leave longer tails on that wick for it to get enough juice.

So it really creates more hassles than the vape is worth especially in comparison to an atty designed for dual (or more) coils.

I'd have to agree that duals in a RM2 is really not worth the hassle (either stacking or drilling a second hole) - especially since you've got the RM3 set up.

The same issues exist for the cyclone, except there is a dual coil afc cap you can get for the atty that allows you to easily use the 'standard' opposing coils config.

If you want to try something different for the RM2, I'd recommend either a twisted or parallel single coil. This would get you into the lower ohm range with minimal hassle - much of what you prolly like about the dual setups would be there.

I used to make parallel 32 and 30g coils on an RM2, and that's no problem and no need to modify anything.

But again, if you use thicker wire, i like my 26g - then you start looking at drilling out post holes and that's a PITA too!

My advice for people running duals, or twisted builds is to just get a bigger atty. An Atomic/RM4 or an Odin give you options and are fairly easy to build on.

I happened to notice you nabbed a Cyclone AFC.
That is set up so you can run single or dual - the cap let's you have one hole blocked or both holes adjustable. Kind of neat.
The slots are at "10 oclock and 2 oclock" because that's how you'd build duals with 2 posts.
Kind of like this pic I googled, though that's an awful lot of wraps...

Thanks, I think I'll look into the cap papa is talking about. The cyclone I just bought is drilled out a little much for me so that may fix that as well.
