Hey guys, I was thinking about buying a Helios rda because I want to make my first dual coil build. But there is one problem...I don't have a mech mod. And I know when you build dual coils it splits your resistance in half. How to I make two coils that are 3 ohms. I've never made such a high Ohm coil!

Thanks!

You would have to either have very long coils with several wraps each or use very thin wire. Both methods have their issues. I would say use 32 gauge wire and a 1/8" drill bit to wrap on start with 10 wraps and see what it reads on your meter. If more than 3.0 unwwra one coil or add another if it is too low( I don't think it will be). Once you get it built you are going to find that duals like that don't work very well on a regulated device. There is just so much wire there they have a hard time heating it. if it goes up to 15 watts you might be better off. You might have better luck than I did. Now most regulated devices will fire above 1.2 so you really only need to hit 2.4 ohm but check your specs to be sure.
