Dual Coil Carto Issue

I've just tried a Dual Coil carto on my Provari. It popped, and then I get an E2 on my read out, and unit stopped working. I tried it on a Hello 016 device, and it works fine, or it seems to . I took two puffs, and was afraid I'd damage the Hello 016 battery. I assume the carto may have short circuited? What's going on?

sound like the provari cant handle the current . Try using it at a lower voltage .

What ohms is it measuring?

My dc carto that's 1.5ohm I set the Provari at 4.0volts and don't get the E2.

The one that's 2.6ohms I have it set at 5.4volts.

What are your settings?

Just tried it at 4volts and it works fine...I've got an order of 1.5 dual coils on the way. I guess I'll have to vape those at 4volts or less? When I checked the ohms it flashed 1.3 and then 1.6...

I think there must be something wrong with this carto. It's hotter and longer than my usual Boge LR2.0s but I can only vape on it, maybe a dozen puffs, and then it tastes burnt. This happens even when I use 3.7volts. I'm constantly topping it up, another dozen puffs, and have to top up again. Surely this can't be normal?

For your provari i suggest getting the 2.0-2.5ohm dc cartos they work great on vari,no need for the lr dc's you will also get better battery life.The 1.5 are best for 3.7v devices that can't pump up the volts.These can slip down in ohms some might work ok some not so use those on your non vv stuff and get the higher ohm for provari thats all i use.

The provari is shorting out because it is pulling so much current (almost 3amps with a 1.5 dc) switch to a 3 ohm, youll get equal power with less current draw (almost 1amp less)-
