Hello people...need some help with the dual-coil carto 1.5-1.7 ohms connecting to silver bullet with rcr123a 3volts stacked.

The sb will not fire up with this particular setup.

I contacted the vendor and was told that the dual-coil at this ohm will not work with the silver bullet at 6 volts.

I also tried getting some help with another thread and was told that a dual-coil 1.5-1.7 will work on the silver bullet b/c they have the same setup and it fires up. Who am I supposed to believe. I am thinking that the vendor is correct. I see no reason why they would give the wrong info with nothing to gain. The dual-coils work great at 3.7 on the sb but not at 6 volts.

I am bewildered with this information. Someone mentioned that I should get a 510 shorty and it will work fine.

Also, I would like to know if a 510 adapter(which I have actually I have 2) is the same thing as the 510 shorty. The sb center post is indented so maybe that is the problem.

Can anyone please clarify this b/c it is driving me insane. I purchased the silver bullet to use at 6 volts. It has not much use for me at 3.7 volts. Any help would be appreciated.

Frank:confused:

Sorry for spelling extension wrong...The Frankster messes up again.

I don't own a Silver bullet but, the reason you might not be able to use it is because of a protection circuit. I highly doubt it but, there might have been some new revisions to the SB lately. A 510 shorty is a smaller version of a regular 510-510 adapter. But, it should work and the only difference would be the aesthetic.

Thank you, I used the 510 adapter and that does not fire it up...I think I should maybe try dual-coils from a different vendor or get different batteries to stack. When you say 510-510 adapter. you are talking about 2 510 adapters...want to be sure. Thank you for the info.
