Dual coil dry burn failure(s).

In more recent news, I tried dry burning the dual coils. They soaked extra long in the vodka, I could see they needed it. The coils were so gunked up(the juice I've been using is "The Duke" and it tended to pretty quickly darken my juice to almost black. When I tried to dry burn, the coils never lit up... I think they were just too far gone with build-up. So I burned all three of them and away they went... Oh well, now that I know since coils work and I'm confident at dry burning them it's all good. Did I maybe not soak them long enough? Are they notoriously hard to clean?

Thoughts? Questions? Comments? Concerns? Queries? Free bottle for my loss? =P

When I dry burn a coil, I usually pull the wick first, dry burn and brush the coils off a few times, then re-wick, saturate wick, assemble and fill, tis like having a new build. Can get months off a build by using this method.

What atomizer are you using?

It's a dual coil atomizer for a Kanger Aerotank. I believe the wick might have been between the coils, but I figured pulling it out would damage the coils...

What type of coils are they, your own builds or something fixed?

They are Kanger brand dual coil. No flavor wick to remove. It's two coils stacked on top of each other and I guess wick between, but I didn't pull it out, thought I might .... it up...

Well.... You will have to soak more often than waiting until it's totally gunked up? Like every tankful, may be.

Since it's really hard to rebuilt them, you are stuck with replacing it.
