What's up everybody? So I was able to squeeze 2 beautiful micro coils on my Igo-L. Each coil was exactly 3.1 ohms, and combined, they were metering out at 1.5-1.6. I got all exited and screwed them on my device to watch them glow. To my disappointment, they were barely heating up at all. It was quite pitiful.

The only thing I can think of is that since the coils are in parallel, the voltage is split between both of them. If that is the case, how does a 2 ohm dual coil Iclear work so well? Are they just two 1 ohm coils in series? Does Innokin sprinkle magic dust in these things? or... or what? Starting to think my dream of making dual micros on the MVP my not get off the ground.

If anyone has any insight I'd appreciate it very much. Thanks.

A picture may help. Are all the coils touching (squeezed together) or loose. Also, the diameter of the coil will play a part in this. You should be able to vape happily at around 4 volts on a 1.5 ohm setup. Charge your battery maybe? Show us some photos and I'm sure if there is a problem it will become clear.

Yaaaarg! I took them off out of frustration already. I did take a crappy pic first though. It likely won't be much use. I typically fuze my coils together after installing them by firing the device until they glow, then squeezing the coils together with my bare hands (kidding). The coils are the same size I always wrap, 1/16.

Suspect, this is exactly my point. I used to rock the Iclear16's at around 4.2 volts. They are dual coil with 2 ohm and blaze. I'm just curious now if the Iclears are wired in series, with each coil being 1 ohm each. As I type this I'm staring at one and seriously thinking about tearing it apart to see. Anywayz here's the bad pick.

As I said, I realize the coils aren't touching, but that has nothing to do with them not glowing. Kinda wish the flash on my phone had been turned on for this. Most of my builds pull around 2.6 amps with no trouble at all. If the over current is tripped the fire button will flash. This wasn't happening at all.

I think I may have just concluded that most dual coil clearos are wired in series. I mean they must be, right?
