Dual Coil Steam Turbine issues

Hi Guys I'm having so many issues with my new steam turbine atty,
the first of which is that i cannot seem to work out all of the hotspots on my coils no matter how long i take, has anyone got any tips for building a dual coil.

the second issue is that when i put it on my itaste SVD the size of the SVD's centre pin means that it shorts out, the reason for this is because there is no difference in height between the positive and negative bits of the steam turbine i have just had an idea that I could solder the centre positive pin of the steam turbine to make up some height,

any thoughts greatly appreciated

Don't bother with solder. The center post can be moved by giving it a sharp hit. It seems a bit worrisome to try the first time, but it is the way that Doc Dave himself recommends. I use a socket that supports the bottom of the atty and allows the 510 connector to hang free, then (with the top screw threaded down) use a min screwdriver in the screw as a punch and give it a lil tap with a hammer. Or just slam the post down on a solid piece of wood so it doesn't damage the screw. YMMV Oh Yeah, it wise to take the glass off to minimise the chance of breakage.

Remember to pulse the coils on your fresh build. You'll get the hang of it if you haven't already. Enjoy!
