to be completely honest, dual coils aren't the greatest things ever....i much prefer the single coil variety, as they generally give me better performance....

however, since you asked, the MEGA eGo dual coil cartomizers from vaping zone hold about 4ml of juice and are the cartos i'm going to use if i'm going to vape a dual coil.....if you want to try out superior single coil cartomizers, head over to ikenvape and grab either the platinum series cartomizers, or the 801 fusion cartomizers with an 801 adapter.

Yeah, I feel dual coils really don't open up till you push 5v or more through 'em. Single coil 1.7 ohms work much better, IMO.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

not even 5 volts, as the amp limitations in most devices would be more like pushing 4 volts through them...that's the big issue i have with duals, if you want to use them, you need a monster amp limit, and the eGo twist just doesn't cut it...you'll be stuck at like 3.8 volts and you'd just be wasting battery life if you're trying to vape it at max....not to mention the extra power already being allocated to the second coil, those two facts combined can kill an eGo battery's charge in NO TIME.

a good single coil though, at 2 ohms, can get the full range of the twist, and the vapor production on the ikenvape cartomizers i find outdo a dual coil any day of the week because they wouldn't be effected by the amp limitation.

If you scroll down, here's a good explanation of dual coil cartomizers

Undestanding resistances, LR and HV

right. but since a device would read the resistance as 1.5 ohms and not the proper 3, amp limitations kick in to prevent the coil from overheating, thinking it's a single 1.5 ohm coil....being the twist has a 2.5 amp limit, it really just doesn't get hot enough to produce much of a vape at all

I was saying just that...
To use a DCC to its full potential, you need something that can ACTUALLY push 5v or more (around 3.3+ amps.)

right. but most hardware doesn't have the amperage capabilities....the exception to amperage rules are mechanical mods...but looking at most of the low end VV mods like the lavatube (2 amp limit) twist (2.5 amp limit) and a few others....even the provari v1 only had a 2 amp switch, hence why there even IS a v2...while i admit the safety feature is nice, there are workarounds....a stacked battery silver bullet for instance could push 6 watts with that mechanical button it has, that's pushing a blistering 12 watts right to the face @ 4 amps to those coils...but it might melt your face. lol

I'll second everything that elmattias has said. Dual coils are highly over-rated, and a battery drain without enough benefits to warrant their use IMO.

I'll also second the Ikenvape Platinums. You can buy them already "punched!" also if you use them in a cartotank. Get the Mega size for DCT tanks.

I've also been having excellent results with the 2.0 and 3.0 ohm Smokteks from here:
