I am new to building dual coils, may I ask a couple questions?
My friend said dual coils must mirror each other. So when you make them you just wrap one starting one direction and the other starting the other direction?
How do you handle putting the leads through the center post, and how do you avoid poking the first coil with the second coil?
Do you stretch them so they are exactly parallel, or are they catty corner? The holes in the cap are generally directly across from each other, so how do you place the cap?
They should fire at the same exact moment, or is there a lag between them?
TIA:)

Nope. Wrap them both exactly the same. Same inner diameter, same gauge wire, same number of wraps. Mirror wasn't the best descriptor. Duplication is what you want.

Just stick them through. When you do, just don't let the second lead poke the first coil. It'll be glaringly obvious when you do it.

Either way, depending on your preference and/or the setup of your RDA deck. I do catacornered cause it's easier for me.

Place it so the holes are lined up with your coils. Another thing that's obvious when you try it.

They SHOULD fire at exactly the same time, but there might be the tiniest difference since they won't likely be absolutely perfect. If I had to put a number to it I'd say 1/4 to 1/2 second difference would be acceptable.

Go check out a bunch of Youtube videos on coil building. Watch everything from the most basic to crazy stuff like inception coils and trico coils.. Note the similarities between builds and the things people make a point of saying every time. That will let you figure out the important details.

Very good then , thanks again.
One more Q.
After you get the two wires through the center post, do you bend them both upward, or one up and one down??

Whatever you need to do. They get clipped off anyway.

You're seriously overthinking this. Wrap a couple coils. Poke them through and don't let wires cross. Make sure they're mounted evenly (same leg length, etc), tighten them down and snip the excess leads. Check resistance. Fire, pinch and do fine adjustments. It's really that easy.

I've really wondered if there is anything to the phase of the coils. In electronics, it would make a terrific difference with a more complex circuit beyond the coils, and actually a magnetic difference within the coils...but as heating elements, and my own experimentation in our simple circuits, I've not noticed any APPARENT difference in creating vapor.
