Dual Twisted Coils in RM2

Looks interesting. Is that two coils each having a positive and negative leg or a single strand of twisted wire built with two sections of wraps?
It's a single strand of 28 kanthal.
I made one coil about 4 wraps on my 1/16 bit, then I made a twist around something a bit larger, made a middle leg and wrapped the other coil.
Squeezed both until glowing in the center, the middle is my hottest spot.
I have two cotton wicks going through each pointing down, the middle is the hottest and I have the least cotton there to prevent burning.
I believe with the U shaped other paper clip coil, the center doesnt get hot.

i did something similar the other day and I sat the "'U'" down onto the ceramic base which normally has a bit of juice, but yeah it's great for small id micro's, great taste, 2 or 3 wraps of 26g each side of the u

yeah with the paper clip coil the whole thing was evenly red.......and when it was turning red the outer edges got hotter first....
