Folks,

been playing around with the good ol RM2 today, did a twisted wire coil.

I used 30AWG wire, 5.5 coils, metered at just shy of one OHM resistance.
Wrapped it around a tiny screw driver which is slightly smaller than a 1/64'th drill.

Check the pictures, I snapped the pictures with the 1/64'th drill as reference.

Does it look good to you? It's been my first twisted wire coil, just wanted to make sure it's right.

It vapes great, heats up very fast and produces a nice warm vape.....

Thanks a bunch guys and keep vaping.

Alex

P.S. the picture with the single wire coil is the style what I've been using since a few month. I may now change to twisted wire coils until something else comes up :)

That looks great, Alex. Must try. How do you get the twist so consistent - patience and a steady hand?

hmm, when I was a site engineer for laying communication line for broadband services, a pair of hand. It take practice, but soon it will be perfect. We even strip comms wire with fingernails only, just to prevent breakages of the wire.

When I do twisted wire with just two stands I cut off one long piece. Then fold it in half and place the loose ends in the drill captured nice and tight. The looped end hooks in a large paperclip. I hold the paperclip taught and fire the drill. Took me longer to write it out than it takes to do.
