I don't think vaping will catch on with the hipster crowd as long as there are outdoor patios at coffee shops where they can smoke American Spirits and talk about their screenplays while most of the country works for a living. And trust me, this crowd can weather any cigarette tax increase. We used to call these people Trust-afarians back when they were into reggae. Different look, same source of income. Hipsters will be the last people to give up cigarettes.
