I purchased a subox Mini today, still waiting for a full charge to enjoy, yay!

The guy at the vape shop walked me through everything, and was kind enough to prime my coil for me. Only, he primed the .5 coil, when I had fully planned to start with the 1.5, since I have been a vape pen user thus far.

Will I ruin the .5 coil if I pull it out, rinse it off, and let it sit for a bit while I use the 1.5?

Thanks!

Nah, you won't ruin it with a good rinse, but I wouldn't go too overboard, unless you plan to drink the vodka, haha.

The coils that come with the Subox are disposable, except the RBA. Also, they're so cheap, I think the bottle of vodka might negate the cost of just buying new coils...unless you are drinking the vodka.
BTW, they do make rebuildable OCC coils as well.

Why not just use it?
You will eventually, why not now?

A lot of people vaping 1.8 ohm have a hard time sub ohm vaping.

I agree with jandrew put the coil in a small ziplick baggie to keep it moist till you are ready to use it.

In the future just prime your coil with unflavored Vegetable Glycerin.

Thanks! No vodka on hand ATM, but I can pick up a cheap bottle tomorrow. In the meantime, any other options? Or can I just let it sit until then?

I've got wine, rum, bourbon, beer, no vodka. We're simple drinkers here, LOL.

Jandrew gave you some great advice about putting the .5 ohm coil in a small Ziploc bag ultil you get ready to use. Just put the baggie in a dark place to keep the light from breaking down the juice on the coil.

I started wrapping my own coils and rebuilding the OCC heads for my Kanger Subtank Nano.

Should you want to rebuild your coils Rip Trippers shows a stupid simple way to rebuild those coils and save money.

Back then I had no idea I would enjoy wrapping coils and using drippers and Rebuildable tanks such as the Goblin Mini.

Welcome to vaping and if I may be of further assistance just ask.

I had planned on starting slow...
Hahaha, ok. I was just wondering.

I didn't find "much" difference between the two coils that came with the Subox kit.
They are both gonna deliver much more vapor than smaller devices.

I went from a spinner and a nautilus mini to the STM.
With either coil, you'll probabably want to step down your nic level.
We went from 12mg, on the Nautilus Mini, to 6mg on the STM, now at 3mg with much better tanks.

Have fun with it, it's really a great step up!

Have gone from 1.2 to .4 with this, so I *think* I am good there...
