Yea, I ponder this same thing too. It seems 'unsanitary' somehow to dump it back in the bottle with fresh juice, but if the juice stinks, I guess it doesn't make much difference. I found out not to dump it in the kitchen trash can or the whole kitchen will stink like what ever foot-fungus smell the stinky juice had. If I have it in a Protank I usually just try to work through it the best I can until I can't take it anymore, re-evaluate my entire life and then wash the head and tank out and move on. ;)

I would not rec pouring the liquids back into the main batch either. I've dumped liquids from tanks, but because always in such a small quantity I don't bother to save them. IOW a tank does not get filled full unless I already know the liquid is acceptable.

I had all the supplies on hand to get into the DIY liquid thing by 2 months after I started vaping. So dripping just made sense to test them. All I had at the time was my Halo G6, but could easily "drip" just two drops on the wicks of the mini tanks, then flush them with vodka, dry and they were ready to rotate into sevice again. Have atty's and APV's now, but still use the Halo to drip test sometimes as well.

I agree! Save the Juice. I have lots of empty bottles I bought cheap from US Plastics:

10cc Natural Boston Round Bottle with Dropper Cap | U.S. Plastic Corp.

I've created a bunch of blended juices my wife loves. The juice that might have an odd aftertaste can be good when blended 50/50 with another juice. Something that is too sweet can be diluted with a more ordinary Tobacco flavor. It's a way for me to gradually get rid of some menthol juice that is too strong by itself. You just need a lot of empty bottles and some labels.

I have a dump bottle. I like to use that concoction in a mini vivi. I can run that one pretty low..same goes with my mini T3. Not much left at all after those run low.

I keep some of my empty bottles around and save it if the juice is relatively fresh. I try to avoid mixing partially used juice with fresh juice.

If it's gotten really dark and thick I'll dump it though. Fortunately, that usually only happens at the end of a tank right before it gets cleaned anyways, so it's no big loss. For me vaping is too enjoyable to deal with tainted/nasty/subpar juice. In addition to a little dose of nicotine it's what keeps me from smoking, so I try to keep things as close to 100% enjoyable as possible.

I use small 10ml needle tip bottles for filling devices and if I want to change juices.
When tasting a new juice, I only put in a ml or so into the type of device I intend to vape with. I don't use a carto to taste with if I intend to use a clearo as the taste may be different.
I have no problem with dumping. If the juice is a store bought one, it costs about a half buck or so per ml. If it is one of my DIY, far less.

As others have stated, never put more than a half ml in a tank if you've never tried the juice before. I have 3 510 dripping atomizers now. No juice hits a tank with out few drops in the 510 first.

I don't save gross juice. I'll dump a tank in a heartbeat. With all the other stuff I spend money on with this hobby, 1ml of juice is like a dollar and doesn't mean much to me. I've slowly found almost a dozen juices I can vape anytime and be happy. I'm over forcing myself to like and/or finish something that doesn't work for me.

510 drippers are a very important piece of equipment. They are cheap, simple, and tank flavor savers. Everyone on a juice quest should have a couple.

If I've gone through more than say, half a tank of something, and just want to switch it up, I tend to pour the excess into a separate, glass bottle (it's the only glass one I have, making it easy to ID) as opposed to risking contaminating the original bottle with juice that might have possibly burned/darkened/etc. If I only took a puff or two and don't like it, I will indeed dump right back into the bottle, usually using a syringe. The glass bottle ends up filled with all various flavors, sometimes I get something interesting when I sample it at the end of a week/month/whatever, other times I just add a half mil of menthol (covers any other flavors) and use it for emergencies when I'm out of juice.

Lol I have a mystery leftovers bottle too. It can be good, or it can be really ..really.. bad.

I just plow through it :) Keep some water at hand and if it's really bad, I hope for vapor tongue. Then I let it steep for a week and try it again.

The only times I have poured it back in the bottle is if it's liquid gold (Pumpkin Spice) and I want to try something new. I love that stuff and won't waste a drop.

I used to just use another tank, but once I went back to a tank that I didn't remember what flavor it had. When I hit it, it was absolutely nasty. Now I just dump it. I purchased a cheep V5 and I use that to drip new juice. I'm not crazy about the V5 because it gives me a metallic taste (it is new though), but it beats wasting all that liquid. I don't and will never pour it back in the bottle because it's already heated up and old. I want to leave what is in the bottle fresh.

best thing to when ordering a juice from a vendor know on this forum is look up threads that talk about it
difrent juice would have different steeping times
Ive had a few that are juice that are unvapable out of the mail but 3-4 weeks down the road fantastic

as a general rule I will leave caps off overnight in order to evaporate any alcohol used in mixing
alcohol unevaperated a lot of times is the cause of perfume or chemical taste

Many non tobacco's are good the next day to a week out
but the more complex can take longer

tobacco's especially ones that have TA tobacco absolute or NET naturally extracted tobaccos
can take a month to taste as they are meant to

Welp, gonna dump this juice. It taste exactly like it is listed. Pear Tobacco... But it tastes like skoal and I am at work so down the drain it goes!!!

I just dumped some DIY juice down the drain. It was Coffee/Amaretto. It seemed too thin. First time for me that I decided to punt instead of trying to fix it.

I usually vape it most of the way through the tank, then fill with a new flavor and shake a bit to mix in the tank. Eventually, it will usually get a bit syrupy, and then I'll wash it out and start fresh. Sometimes, you'll find you actually like the slightly mixed juices better, and unknowingly you might find your new flavor "mix"...
