Ohhhh VG!!! Thank god I'm not the only one who doesn't have a clue what string cheese is :)

I thought it was an American thing.

My husband told me tonight that he's seen it at our local grocery store. What I'm not understanding is what kind of cheese it is and why it separates into strings.

VG, I can't help but laugh! Cuz there is no major town close to Moody, Lol the nearest you could call a town is Waco, it is about half way between DFW and Austin. In other words I live in the boonies as they say around here.

Just did a google map search for Moody; you are in the boonies! A few years ago, I was in Dallas for a conference. My family joined me there, and we went to a rodeo at the Fort Worth Stockyards. Lots of fun! Have you been there?

Edit: Forgot to mention, when I was in eighth grade, I had a huge crush on a guy that was from Waco. He was a lifeguard at a resort my family stayed at in Padre Island. My parents put an end to my crush very quickly when they found out that he was 19!

Small world, I was born in Corpus Christi as was my wife, spent most of my life growing up in Fort Worth, so yes I know the Stockyards very well. And Padre as well. I would have to say parents made the right call there..I know you did not think so at the time. :) Wow we took this thread way off topic... sorry guys.

Very small world. I failed to mention that my dad was an Army Intelligence Officer, and we lived in San Antonio for four years. So you grew up in Fort Worth? We had such a fun time visiting the stockyards. Yep - my parents did make the right call, although I didn't understand at the time.

It's okay to take threads off topic; that helps to keep our forum fun! :

Going to bed now. :)
