I'm new to vaping. 3 weeks cig free using V2cigs auto batts w/blank cartomizers that I fill. They're fine. They do the job but I can't see myself pocketing one without snapping it in half unless I stand still like a statue. I'm not a guy so a front shirt pocket doesn't really work for me but I am a jeans, lets go fishing, kinda gal.

Keep going back to MVP2, VV V3, and not sure why but a Reo Mini/Grand keeps calling my name. I want something I can take with me easily, don't mind dragging around an extra battery, tank or bottle of juice. Want something durable for jamming into my pocket even if I need to unscrew something & use two pockets. :)

I've looked at kits and then confuse myself with the what should I get to go with it questions. I'd hate to find the one clearo or tank or whatever that comes with is a fail and have no back up.

Don't want to mess with rebuilding though I might in the future since it didn't look too crazy on youtube vids.

Any thoughts before I continue beating my brains out researching & drooling over all the shiny stuff?

Come stop on by Reos Mods and introduce yourself. Can't go wrong with a REO

I have to +1 this as there is practically nothing to break on these...But being hand crafted, they are not cheap by any means. But it will last dang near forever.

If you want something in the meantime, plop down some coin for an MVP 2, it provides the best bang for your buck, and will last you all day on the lake, which is good if the fish are biting....

Then you can save up for that REO so that when the MVP does eventually die, you can step right into your REO....Easy Peasy

Lots of options, mechanical or regulated? Tube or box? Expensive or not so much?

If there is a good B&M in your area I would suggest visiting them and personally checking out whatever mods they carry so you can see how they look and feel in your hand. Check out the various atty options they have as well.

If you're not going to be rebuilding at least get something with replaceable heads.

Least expensive solution would be an eGo Spinner/Twist (< $26) with a lanyard ($6) and whatever inexpensive juice attachment you like ($6)

iTaste VV V3 ($40) or iTaste MVP ($50 - $70)

Mini Zmax for around $70. (Will also need 18350 IMR batteries and a li-ion battery charger)

Good suggestions all around, but the prices you Baditude is quoting seems to be suggested retail. VV3's can be found for about $30...MVP's for $45

The real question is how long will our fisher be away from power. If she's out on a lake all day, then I'd recommend MVP 2 or the Sigelei Mini with an extra battery, if she only needs 6 to 8 hours, then any of the other choices will be fine.

And you should Always consider a backup. I rotate between two MVP 2's for my all day vape, but that being said, there still is a vv3 sitting on my desk at work with a filled tank installed....just in case..

Gahh! I had an intelligent reply typed out & accidently closed the window. So, here goes an unintelligent one instead. lol Anyway, ty for all the great responses. It's good to have solid ideas from experienced vapers. I'm 80% sure I'll pick up a Reo Mini sometime but for now I'll grab an MVP2. I see they come with pretty much everything I'll need and my cig-a-likes can sit in a drawer as emergency backups.

Now, having only used cartomizers, I'm set on researching glass tanks a bit since I'll want more than what comes with an MVP2 kit. I'd hate to get vape mail only to have tank problems the first day with no option to try another tank. Maybe Mini Protank 2 & extra coils or .....

Dang I wish I had discovered vaping years ago. I love all this shiny stuff!

Although my two MVP2's came with an iClear 16b and iClear 30, and I've vaped them both, I still like the Mini PT2. It looks great on an MVP, they are easy to clean, the heads are easy to rebuild (if you are into that) or inexpensive to replace (if you are into THAT). The 1.5 ML capacity tends to minimize the gurgling and leakage some have complained about the PT2. Also the Mini PT2 is an eGo cone device so you won't run into any airflow issues.

Plus, since the PT2 mini does not extend past the edge of the battery in any way and the MVP is "bottom heavy", if you knock it over, it "likely" won't impact the glass. I'm not saying it's fully protected, but it's less likely to break than if the glass extended beyond the edge of the battery. And if you need more than 1.5 ML it's easy to have another mini PT filled up and ready to swap out...

I actually fell asleep on the couch with my MVP in hand and woke up with the MVP on the hard tile floor and no damage to the tank or the battery....And this is a floor that has literally shattered 3 of my plates and 8 of my glasses.

I've been using egos for the last 6 months. With a high enough mAh rating it could last you all day (depending on how you vape). That said, I usually carry 2. I AM a man, but my 1300mAh ego-t with pass through and 900mAh vision spinner both fit in my jeans pocket WITH the pt2 mini attached. You can always use a lanyard though.
The pt2 draw isn't as tight as other tanks I've tried and enjoyed though, so be aware of that. The v2 model of the mini has a removable drip tip, so you could easily pop that off to make the device a sure fit in your pocket. If you decide to go pt2 mini make sure your device supports ego come threading or buy an attachment for the 510 that has it.
I think most people go from cigalikes to ego. You will be much happier switching from the cigalike!
That said a Mod would give you better performance than an ego, though I can't speak to battery life (just got my smokTech SiD in the mail yesterday, and batteries today).

Good luck figuring out what will work best. There is A LOT of tech to wade through!

The MVP 2 has eGo cone threading....so it's all good in the hood.

Go with the REO and be done with your search forever. Grab a rebuildable to go on top and do a little coil-building homework while you wait for the mailman. You'll be glad you did. Go ahead and get a Grand. It's really not as big as it seems in pics. Some of my best vaper friends are Reonauts. If you're opposed to the Grand, get the mini 2.1. It has good battery capacity.
