Last night I was watching TV, and for the first time I saw an e-cig ad! There were actually two from different companies. (I'll have to check my DVR to get the names of the companies if anyone is interested, tho.)
I thought the ads were a bit misleading, but at least the basic facts were right. I am glad to see more positive e-cig exposure in the mainstream media.

Any opinions?

Mixed feelings on the TV ads I have seen....

They are the "free offer" types whereby you get the starter kit for free....then the company proceeds to charge your credit card on a regular basis. Also, they are no-nicotine versions. These outfits don't have a good track record and border on scams....so that is bad for the entire e-cig community. On the other hand....exposure on TV lends a certain legitimacy on what some people think is a bunch of druggies buying things in dark allies. It also educates non-smokers that what they are seeing in the bars and restaurants are not actually cigarettes being smoked. Cuts down on confrontations....
