I was at the WI State Fair Tuesday and was very excited to see an e-cig seller in the Expo Pavillion. I'm not quite sure who it was...OMG? I think that's what I noticed on the banner.
It was pretty crowded around that booth, but I wondered over anyway. I never did get a pitch, but I rather he pitched to people who had never heard about it anyway. I do know he didn't make the "1 cart = 1 pack" claim (YAH!). I encouraged 3 people to buy when they were himming & hawing on what to do and then felt I better get out of there before someone started thinking I was a shill LOL Price wise, I think it was about the same as SE at the mall.
I ran into 2 of the 3 people I talked to later at other booths in the pavillion. In both cases, they said "tell my friend what you told me about this thing...." LOL Sounds like their buddies were giving them a bad time about promises made at the fair. Since we were no where near OMG, I pulled out my 510, PCC & my stick, explained it's not a fair gimmic, it really has worked & wrote down the name of the forum to read up and educate themselves even more on the subject.
Having the stick was really neat. I had one of those 'smock' style tank tops on (what are they called now? they were smocks when I was a kid. At least I finally stopped calling flipflops "thongs" LOL), so when clipped to my waistband, it didn't even show and it was great having easy access to it.
And yes; we did try the chocolate covered bacon on a stick! What do you know; it tasted like chocolate and bacon LOL Through most of it, I thought it was more like a salt, chewy chocolate, but when we got down towards the thicker part of the meat, the two separate tastes were very distinct. We got lucky as it was "Grazin' Daze" at the fair that day, and they were priced at a dollar (I think every day price was 2 @ $3).
Went better together than beer and chocolate, but the taste just didn't blend like chocolate & coconut or chocolate & peanut butter.
We spend a lot of time in the barns when we are there (trip down memory lane for hubby - he use to show every year), and it was sooo great not wondering when we were going to step out of there and get away from the straw! LOL
Sitting on the bench while the kids were on rides, I used my 510 cause it looked more like a cigarette (would have probably been better had I had a white one; I gotta get on that) and since I was bored, welcomed questions about it.
I love the fair. What other state allows you to bring in a wagon haulin' a cooler with your own beer! =) Never fear; we also had soda and water in there too. Hubby and the kids had to have something to drink! LOL
Did anyone else make it to the fair this year?
