Title basically says it all, they are such a rip off and scam, it's very irritating to know they are screwing over people and I'm sick of seeing it and being haggled. 69.00 for a basic 401 with no throat hit, hardly any vapor, just pathetic. After being haggled by them I said I had the 510 and cartomizers, they had no clue what either was, and were completely dumbfounded. Well I know these people are hired and really don't know anything, they think they have an amazing product, lol. The problem is they are giving it a bad name. I've had people laugh at me because they think I'm puffing on the crap ecig they have seen in the mall because they don't know otherwise. And people who have tried it, and bought it made an opinion about ecig smoking because of it, they think they have it all figured out that ecigs suck. It just pisses me off, and I know there have been posts about this before but I couldn't find em. Screw these mall booths, whatever company is in charge of these things needs to get with the program and offer decent Ecigs to the public, how long does it take for them to realize where the real money is??? And this is our largest form of exposure it seems at this time, pathetic !

My niece called me all excited last weekend from Florida to tell me she had finally bought her first e-cigarette. I had been singing their praises to her for months. I had sent her all the info about ECF as well as the name of a couple of suppliers, but when she finally made the decision to do it, she went to the mall and bought from Smoke Everywhere. Ugh!!! They sold her ONE battery in the kit JUST ONE!!! I think it worked for her for about a day and a half. I was so angry I coulda eaten nails! I got on the phone with her this past week and we went online together and ordered her a 510 from one of the suppliers here.

I wonder if there is any way that ECF could do some advertising?

We hear this story over and over again. A new user does at least a little research and still ends up buying a SE or Blu. I simply cannot understand what leads people to by a poorly rated item at a higher price rather than a highly rated one at a lower price.

I can tell you why...it's b/c of Blu and SE affiliate programs.
If you google.."Blu e-cig reviews" First page is Filled with Blu is Great! websites.
Things like this... Electronic Cigarette by Blu Cigs | E-Cig Reviews

Of course you later learn theses are all Paid sites and all BS.

Heck even the review from ECF google pulls on the first page is positive...it shows this http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...garettes/22993-blu-cig-review-comparison.html

This is what Noobs are finding and looking at.

Well, I suppose one good thing about these kiosks is that it exposes people to the concept of e-cigarettes. There are some really hip people who have never heard of e-cigarettes. THOSE people will be intrigued by the CONCEPT and do further research.

Unfortunately, I was not one of them and ended up buying Blu for my first PV. Absolutely nothing wrong with Blu if you smoke less than 1/2 a pack a day, but for anything heavier, it just can't keep up.

If you've been using e-cigs for any length of time and are still using the very first model that got you started I'd say count yourself fortunate and most probably in the minority. I started with a 401 set up and loved it, probably because I didn't know any better.
Moved from there to the 510 then the V4Life stuff, several mods and finally the Ego.
No question that it's a 'journey' and, at least for me, a pretty expensive one. I'd bet that most everyone here feels that they've been ripped off with at least one hardware or juice purchase but kept after it, did your research and continued on with lessons learned.
The mall stands may not sell the greatest stuff but if as a first step it helps people kick the weeds then I say 'smile and give em a waive' the next time you pass one.
