The interesting thing is, even though many of these eGo batts are assembled by different manufacturers, the components are all made in just a few factories- so the internals are all nearly identical, within each revision.

Sometimes, finding the best deal on starter kits is a nightmare. There are literally hundreds- if not thousands- of eGo kits available, all of them priced differently and with different contents.

The link in the OP is a bit too high of a price- you can probably find Twist kits for that price, especially during sales- and never believe that the package deal is always the best "deal" out there- piecing together a kit yourself can sometimes be cheaper, if you know where to look.

what exactly does the tank do? is its only purpose to save you time by not having to refill cartridges?

i mean.. if you get a non-tank type system, how often are you 'refilling' - do you have to refill after just 3 or 4 hits?

Yeah, I guess, but it's so stupid. People buy the rebuildable clearos too. The vendor I bought the heads from was really embarrassed. He didn't realize that he hadn't ordered "real" vivi nova "clones" Lol! For the price, I assumed the heads were clones, but they weren't even clones of the right product! The vendor gave me credit and isn't carrying them anymore, but....huh?

Oh gosh, I'm trying to figure out how to answer this so it makes sense.

"Refilling" is easy to answer - you won't be refilling after 3-4 hits, no matter what you choose.

If by "Tank" you mean the eGo-T system, let me look for a video. The word "tank" can be used for different things, but for now I'll pretend you mean the eGo-T.

Yes, and it is also just a different type of juice delivery system. Those cartridges in the first kit that you posted have a foam type stuff that is supposed to allow the juice to drip down to the atomizer, where the juice is heated and vapor is produced. They were problematic I think mainly because they were messy and leaked. Cartos are another option, which evolved after the carts. They have a filler material and atty coil all wrapped together, and were much more successful than carts.

Next came clearos, which usually have a string (silica) type wick that sticks down in the juice in a tank type thing. The wick draws the juice up to the atty coil, which is usually at the top of the unit. They can be as small as 1 ml or hold 3 mls +. These have been gaining popularity lately, especially since they have made mad improvements to them in the last year or so.

It is all a matter of taste and preference, just like some like apples and some oranges. Like was said, any of these kits will have batteries that will work with any of the things that sit on top of them. You will make yourself crazy trying to find the perfect kit. Best to pick one and go for it. Once you get into it, you will know better which way you need to go.

Example: I started with the EGO T. Kept burning the atties. Moved to cartos. Hated the filler and the constant topping off. Moved to clearos. Found my true love. I play with lots of clearos now, but stick with clearos.

Hi I'm sorry if we made you freak out or feel bad for buying that kit. It will work just fine. The kit you bought uses a cartridge and an atomizer - two pieces which fit together -but that's just what comes with the kit. The eGo (which you will soon have) has 510 threading, which means you can put anything on it that has 510 threading - just about everything there is.

Yes, the first kit is carts, but don't sweat it. it will get you going. My brother even had a few of those, and he just dripped juice, a few drops down the center, vape a few times, a few more drops... instead of using the foam.

I'm so, so sorry if we scared you! Vaping has a learning curve and we all jump in trying to help new people avoid spending the money we did. That kit will be great. When I got mine, I had nothing to compare it to and it blew me away! I quit smoking so fast!

For a MAIN PV, I wouldn't go with no-name branded eGo batteries or smoktech branded eGo batteries. Only because I've had some bad luck with smoktech branded products in the past, and a lot of bad luck with no name products. Get yourself the kit that The Ocelot picked, or a genuine joyetech kit, even a "Vision" eGo kit. I like Vision's products a lot and I think the Quality Control is good enough for me. You might even want to start out with a vision spinner.

If your really not sure if vaping is what you want to do with your life, you can always just buy 1 battery, 1 carto, and a small bottle of juice just to try things out. That way you can spread the investment between a couple orders if you do decide you like it. I definitely recommend getting at least 1 vision spinner battery, or a joyetech eGo Twist eventually... Doesn't have to be right away. a "Vision Spinner" or "Twist" battery is variable voltage, which will allow you to use a wider variety of products in the future of your vaping.

Its all really complicated for a beginner so I don't want to scare you away. for NOW, anything is a GOOD kit. as soon as you realize that vaping tastes better, feels better, and is all around BETTER than smoking cigarettes, THATS when you'll be willing to go for bigger mods, drop the cash, and really get into it. For now, just buy whatever you can afford for now so that you can find out that vaping is awesome ASAP! lol

OMG, juice! Did you get any juice? Those 5 prefilled carts will not last a very long time.

Juice is very subjective to taste. I can't help much, because I have actually never ordered. I bought from a local shop then started making my own. But I am now waiting on an order from Rawr Vapor: Home page. I have heard very good things about them.

Just pick a vendor, pick some things that sound good. And get a bunch of sample sizes. You want to start with samples, just cause they sound good doesn't mean you will like them, and you don't want to be stuck with a pile of 30 ml bottles of stuff you don't like. Get some you don't like?
