Good day to you fellow vapors! Here's my situation in a nutshell: I've been vaping 510's for 6 months and now I'm going to upgrade to the Ego C type A starter kit. I've set my mind to it. :) I could go for the twist, but I really want to give this one a try. In earlier postings, I was advised to also purchase clearomizers or cartomizers. I don't know much about those at all. I am purchasing my kit at this link

Could someone please advise me the best route to take as far as purchasing the clearomizers...or cartomizers...or both? Thanks!!

You can choose either
But for a newbie I suggest to keep it simple at first. Then you can go experiment after you feel comfortable. That said, I recommend Boge 2.0 LR cartomizers to start.
Don't forget some juice samples too.

I have the C kit. I'd suggest using that instead of clearomizers, at least at first. I find the vapor and flavor better and more consistent using the C atty/tank system. Then again, I don't have any juices with more than 50% VG, so I don't have any wicking problems that some report using the C system with high/all VG juices.

I'd second the Cowdog's suggestion. Get a box of Boge 2ohm cartomizers. When you run into trouble with your tank system, you'll have something reliable to use while you figure out how to fix it.

The dual coils on that site are a huge 5ml and a eGo doesn't even have enough voltage to properly power a 1.5ohm, let alone a 1.8 ohm dual coil. That's two 3.6ohm coils. That's only 3.2 watts per coil! That's ridiculously low power. I'm surprised juice would even vaporize at that level of heat.

As a point of reference, the Boge 2ohms will be running at 5.8 watts. Most people find around 6-8 watts to be the "sweet spot" with most juices. I can't believe they even make dual coils with such a high resistance, unless they're for use only with a VV PV capable of putting out 4.5 Volts or more.
