E-cig help needed

It is a joyetech eGo-C Atomizer Cover and Base.

Sorry I am new to vaping these are my first e-cigs.

No need to apologize!! We all started off right where you are at and WE ALL have had a device stop working for some unknown reason. It's difficult to diagnose problems do to the variety of products out there. You did the right thing by coming here. The people here really know their stuff!!!

I have put a clearomiser on it now and it works fine. Looks like it was the atomizer head?

It's entirely possible to get a bum coil. If you bought it in a local shop, I'd take it back. If it has a replaceable coil, get another and change it. I'm sure some others here might be able to give you some advice as to how to check the coil if you haven't found what you need already.

You may have to go get a new one. I honestly have had real bad luck with ego style batteries

That's what I thought. I had two bad ones out of the ten I had bought. And the third one popped after a day of use. They are hit or miss. Take it back to your vendor and ask for a replacement. They are under warranty--DOA at the very least--and yours was clearly DOA. It never fired.

Joyetech makes great batteries, but lousy heads.
