I've seen a lot of the disposable pens marketed as e-hookahs... in a way I guess it does make sense. When's the last time you picked up an Apple flavored cigarette pack? Hookah sashish (sp?) Is really the only tobacco/smoking product out there that even comes close to rivaling the flavors available in our e-juice

e-hookah is a marketing term, especially for non-nicotine flavored units. these are typically low-buck ego type units, though there is at least one unit that is actually designed to look like a hookah hose handle.

as for the technological relationship between ecigs and hookah, ecigs are in fact basically small electronic hookahs. hookahs use heating to vaporize/boil off a flavored juice solution containing glycerine that is soaked into a susbstrate. in the case of hookah the substrate is tobacco, which is what provides the nicotine to the "smoke".

Yeah... I'm glad I don't have to heat up a coal and chuck it in my RDA... Batteries are much more convenient!

Personally I don't like either term. There is no tobacco in these bad boys. Unfortunately that is what people have seen in the marketing, so there is no changing it. I call it a mod, or pv, or device... When asked questions like that I say "oh, you mean my nicotine vaporizer?"... Which soon won't be accurate, because I've gotten down to zero milligram for my mid day vaping...

The hookah is the device, there are many non-tobacco options for substrate. Including rocks, believe it or not. lol

I don't like calling it an e-hookah either. A hookah is a waterpipe, so IMO if it's not a similar design, it's not worthy of being called an e-hookah.
