it might and it might not, depends wether your atomsier is faulty or not,i think-from what ive read anyway.seems to help some folks...make sure its well dry tho.did you charge your batteries for at least 8 hours?
I've left my atomizer to dry out for 2 days now and when I puff on it, vapour comes out, this is without attaching the mouthpiece and cartridge, vapour only comes out with one puff, then if I leave it for about half an hour it works again but only once again! The vapour isn't continuous every time I drag on it.

do you mean that it wont smoke with the cartridge and mouthpiece in,or just that the smoke is inconsistent?perhaps you are trying to smoke it like a normal cigarette-with an electronic cigarette you have to warm up the atomiser before you can get a good drag.try taking a few short puffs just to warm it up,and then take a good long drag-ive seen it described as taking a long slow sip with a straw-be careful not to overheat your atomiser tho!if all this isnt the case, then you may have an atomiser problem.

aw that sucks...id be rollin my own again if my cigs broke down too.well at least theyre sendin you a replacement, hopefully this one will work.its a big adjustment from rollies lozzie, ive smoked rollies for years-but you get used to it,it just requires some willpower to get over the initial change-including the ritual of rolling up,the fact that its always "on",and the much lighter draw of the e-devices.stick with it.my chest is already clearing up,an ive only been e-smoking for a few weeks!all these devices can be unreliable with the current technology(hopefully that will change in the near future),so if you like it,you might want to consider having 1 or 2 backup devices-just in case.

ive got a mini cigarette and one the same as yours.they both have their merits-the mini has a harder draw tho,and the 1 like yours has better battery and cartridge life, and is easier to get vapour from-i like the 1 like yours most, its more practical.ive been lucky so far with no problems, except im goin through cartridges at the rate of about 3-4 a day,and changing batteries every 3 hours or so!i think this is because as a former rollie smoker,i like the "hit" in the throat and the taste that a roll up gives you,and so as soon as the vapour starts to get puny i change the cartridge and put in a fresh battery for the best amount of vapour and hit of nicotine.i think i need to get some liquid fast!have you contacted that liquid supplier to see if they have it in stock, and when you might be receiving it?

chances are it'll work fine, and if it doesnt, contact your supplier again-if they are worth a damn theyll help you til you are satisfied.just give the battery a good 8 hour charge before you start e-smoking.remember tho-its not exactly like real smoking, its just a fairly adequate substitute.hopefully in the future it'll get better.i dont know your reasons for wanting to stop real smoking,i assume its for health reasons.although this isnt really a stop smoking device, just an alternative way of getting nicotine,it seems to have helped many, including myself,to stop-at worst it may help you cut down.but it does require you to give it a chance, and learn its quirks.it is much healthier,in my experience so far-and it doesnt stink like fags do,but it can be a frustrating business with a lot of atomiser and battery problems for many people, even with the top brands.hopefully future models and designs will make for a more problem free e-cigarette.in the mean time,we gotta do the best we can with what we have.let me know how you get on with it.although i may not be very experienced at this myself yet,i'll help you in any way i can.

of course if you read this forum, you will find just about all the answers you need-and from some very knowledgeable people too.but it is good to ask questions and get direct answers or opinions quickly,or share experiences with each other.i think this is a very good forum, with every1 trying to help each other out-cos we all seem to be in the same boat...

Hi Mr. Darcy,
I am a new ecig smoker for barely a week now (NJoy pen). I was somewhat relieved to read your note about the need to recharge and change the cartridges frequently. My experience is similar to yours. I was worried the battery or the atomizer was broken or I was doing something wrong. Being so new at this, it's almost impossible to figure out when something is wrong or what, if anything, is wrong.
I already have cartridges all over the place. I opened 5 so far. After recharging battery I go back and reuse one I've opened already cause I have the sense I shouldn't have to be going thru all these cartridges so fast.

hi nerdy-lol-yes,that sounds exactly the same as what im doing!i dont know about you,but i want a good "smoke" all the time,im not satsified with wispy thin vapour and no hit to the throat.theres nothing like a freshly charged battery and a fresh cartridge to give me the pleasure i want from this thing-trouble is it doesnt last long!im fairly new to all this too, although ive read everything i can on the subject on this and the international forums, and i have a mini cig and a pen-style.i honestly dont know how people go for a whole day with 1 battery and 1 cartridge, although im sure different brands may preform better than others in this respect, although im a bit dubious as to just how different this can be!maybe i just use it too much-but isnt that what its for?to use when you want it?im gonna get some liquid and see how that goes-but i know i'll be constantly dripping and changing batteries anyway!from my own experience,i can only say that i want the vapour and the hit to last longer than it does, and this is the only way i can get it to what i want.i think a lot of people are in similar situations to us,and i think that current technology and design must improve if its ever to be a real substitute to real smoking.so anyway, dont worry-youre not alone. :)

hey no problem lozzie.you can drip directly onto the atomiser, but only 2 or 3 drops at a time-and make sure you hit the atomiser with it directly, too much and apparently it can leak into the battery, which isnt good!most people seem to favour using a syringe to do this when extracting the liquid from cartridges...i havnt got round to getting one of those-or liquid in a bottle for that matter,so i tried squeezing a few drops out of a cartridge just using my hands...well,it missed the atomiser and went all down the sides of the tube that its in-not a good thing either,i guess.when you get the oil you ordered tho,the bottle should have a little applicator like an eye dropper, which will let you drop the oil on2 the atomiser with accuracy.you then put on the mouthpiece(the inhaler) which was on the cig when you got it,the 1 with no cartridge that is,back on,and smoke away with no cartridge at all(you can also use a mouthpiece that came with a cartridge in it if you remove the core of the cartridge-thats the white wolly stuff).or you can reuse a dry/used cartridge which youve already smoked, and just drip some liquid on2 it to re-energise it,and smoke that way-some people even use an injection needle to inject the cartridge full of liquid, which i believe also gives you a nice amount of vapour.that way you can use a cartridge multiple times, until its performance starts to decrease.you can also buy the insides of the cartridges-called the core(the white wolly stuff)-from various sites on the web, like e-cig.com and others, with nothing in them, and just fill them yourself.

hey guess what?my atomiser has died just like yours, and id only smoked 2 or cartridges with it!there was a burning taste with the last cartridge, and then no more vapour...and i hadnt let the atomiser overheat either,im very careful about that!anyway,i gave it a little clean with an earbud to soak up any moisture(not that thats gonna help),but its dead-theres no point in washing it,as it had that smell of burning electrics, but im tryin that anyway and its drying as we speak.hopefully my supplier will replace it for me,hes a good guy.ive been smoking my mini constantly and even tried squeezing a cartridge in2 it a few days ago as i told you-with messy results-and its going even better than ever!these things happen to every1 i suppose, even with the big brands....still,my mate and i didnt get a chance to try it out properly.hope i get a new atomiser soon.

Lol, we have the same problem then? Anyway my new atomizer came today and it works...well for now anyway, touch wood!
When my liquid comes I'm only going to drip onto the wool and not the atomizer, not going to risk getting it wet again!
Thanks Darcy, you've been a big help, it's all confusing when you're new to it all :)
I'll keep you updated with the new atomizer, let's see how it goes...

Just a little tip, in case you missed it elsewhere -

Before you go to sleep at night, remove the cartridge and put your e-cig atomizer-down into a glass with tissue paper at the bottom.

In the morning you will find that the tissue is moist with e-liquid. I believe this prevents the atomizer from clogging up over time.
