I'm currently vaping a cig-a-like as well. I don't care that it's not as fancy as a provari, or as shiny as a lavatube. As long as the cartos keep giving decent flavour, I'm gonna keep vaping. One thing I can say about using my Green Smoke is that it looks better constructed than some of the manual 510 cig-a-likes that come from China. (That's not to say that my stuff didn't come from China, but it looks to be a higher quality than your average "crap".)

everybody always says the obvious "dont smoke the look a likes" but honestly for most out and about situations thats what youre gonna feel comfortable smoking because they look enough like a cigarette for other people to guess what youre doing and not think youre doing drugs. And when youre starting to get off cigs it helps to not have something totally different in your hand to replace it so you dont feel so wierd about the switch, a lot of peeps forget that...

Exactly.
How many of us were smoking a Hookah (aka Shisha) before?

And if we did - we didn't carry it about, did we?

But yes the novelty of it wears off and it will start to not satisfy you because the best e cig a likes dont give good hits like a square does...

Not necessarily. Things have changed lately. Check the Joyetech eRoll (aka Ovale eMini). The same VTF* as a mod, but in a cigalike form factor!

I started with an e-cig when I purchased a new car and within 2 days I quit smoking and went full time with the e-cig. (I'm only four months in though) I found V2's online and really like their batteries. I bought the longer one and I find the vapor is equal to the ultra lights I had been smoking. I haven't even considered smoking an analog again. I really hope that I don't run into the issue you mention...so far so good. I saw someone suggest switching flavors. I will say finding new flavors I like has been appealing. I never thought I'd like different flavors, but I do. Right now there's a Teaberry (like the retro gum) that I absolutely love! So glad I found this thread I do find a lot of helpful information here.

My first experience with ecigs was the NJoy lookalike several years ago.. it did not go well.

Like many others have suggested do yourself a favor and get an eGo battery and a couple clearomizer tanks. I'd recommend an eGo-C Twist and a Vision Clearomizer 2.0 (or equivalent)

The NJoy was a chore to use and was never more enticing than the real deal. Since trying out eGo batteries with Clearomizers and Cartomizer tanks I would choose vapor over smoke 10 times out of 10. Tobacco cigs are a non-issue at this point, I haven't smoked in my home in 2 months. It has been a very good and quite unexpected turn for the better in my life :)

Hi ROK, Im in the UK as well, and I have now been smoke free for 46 days, after smoking for 38 years. I started with an E-Lite but did not find them satisfying enough. I want to stick with e-cig look a likes as they are simple and found Vapourlites available in my local chemist. They are half the price of E-Lites and available in different strengths and flavours. I started with a free sample from them (plus P&P) and have not looked back and find them very satisfying. After trying many different ways to give up over the years, Im amazed I don't crave a cig anymore. Give them a try, nothing to lose : Electronic Cigarettes - Free Sample from Vapourlites Electronic Cigarettes

Good luck in your endeavours.

    E-Cig no longer as satisfying

The best e-cig is more than one. You could have the biggest-baddest e-cig on the planet and it would not change if you are vaping the same flavor at the same power level all the time. The taste buds dull, and the satisfaction will leave.

At a minimum I will use three different PV's with three contrasting flavors during the day.

    Hi,

I have been using the Rok Universal Starter Kit, which is a small cigarette size battery/cartomiser device, since the end of last year.

Initially the effect was great, it's a good device and I was down to only a pack of 20 a week(managed a week without smoking at all), but for the last few months the effect seems to be wearing off and I find myself smoking more. Nothing has changed, I'm using the same system, but it is not having the same satisfying effect it had initially. Is the novelty factor wearing off? I was thinking of buying their more powerful ROK Star tank/e-liquid device, but don't want to waste money if it won't help.

I do notice some inconsistencies with the cartomisers and don't always get the same good draw from them.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

I understand your pain, because I started out with similar ecigs such as those, but you'll deal with...
    o Inconsistency
    o Poor vapor production
    o Poor throat hit
    o Decent eLiquid flavor
o Spending tons of $$$ for replacement cartridges
    o Poor battery life

    get yourself a REAL e-cig
they tend to be a bit larger than a real cigarette, but perform a lot better.
I recommend a ego twist, or a spinner, or a kgo VV battery (remember to get the apropriate charger for whatever you decide on).
I also recommend getting some BOGE cartomizers, for a novice, they're great.

RonsPlc's recommendation is exactly the way you want to go. The eCigs that DO NOT look like cigarettes, are the best ones out there. You'll get everything I listed above... except the exact opposite. Hope you find something that works for you!

I am pleased for you that you swapped to Vapourlites from E-Lites, E-Lites are really very expensive.

When you signed up for the "free" Vapourlite, did it involve agreeing to something where you have to cancel card payments at some point in the future. I only ask, as one of the first "sticky" threads on AAEC-UK is to not sign up to things like this. I'm sure you won't have made a mistake, but some people are less able to spot these offers that are sometimes tied into making payments.
