Something ain't right. Just to be safe, I'd store the battery somewhere it won't catch anything on fire should something go wrong. Doubtful, but you never know. Once the light goes off, and some time has passed you can investigate the button to see if it's catching. If not, something is wrong with the internal circuitry, wiring, etc
