For my first 8 months I had 4 JoyeTech eGo platinum finish batteries in rotation. I still have them and still use them on occasion. Zero plating problems on the batteries bodies, the switch area or the covers. Heck, not even a problem with my el cheapo Riva stainless batteries.

In contrast it was kind of annoying to see the plating wearing off the EPower switches on the first day of use.

You must have highly acidic skin. It took two months of constant daily use before I saw the slightest wear in the E-Power 14650 plated finish.

So, you had four Joye tech eGo-type batteries in rotation. You would have to use those every day for two years straight before they receive the same amount of handling as my E-Power 14650 gets in six months. You are comparing apples and oranges, here.

I have eight 14650 batteries in rotation. Because these batteries are removable from the inside of the battery tube the number of batteries in rotation does not affect handling wear of the battery tube or switch.

No issues with any threading after nearly a year of use with my E-Power 14650.

@yzer i have the blue button without the 5 click thing. from what ive heard is that they were pretty reliable... i guess not. there definitely a possibility that its user error, but i have no idea what i wouldve done wrong. my 2nd epower had never even had juice leak through the bottom of the atty onto the button part. and the deal with the battery, yea thats what i had thought. it usually flashes when its low, but just to make sure i used the batterys from my 2nd kit which have never been used and it still didnt work (no longer talking about the 1st epower, i fried another atty i found laying around trying to fix it). i tried using 3ohm cartos thinking maybe my 2ohm attys were the problem, no change there. and i dont have a volt meter. this damn thing is brand new. when i got it, i took it out, made sure it ran, and put it up.

@rickajho yea i understand theres a search function but from what ive read, i couldnt find any with my specific problem. i spent several hours looking for answers, got a little irritated, and just ended up making a post because i couldnt find the answer. and no, unfortunately i do not have one. this really sucks lol im smoking more cigarettes now than i did before i started my ecig. i will definitely take a look at those links. im in a rush right now because i have to go to work in a little bit, so when i have some time to look through it i will. i would like some other peoples opinions too

youll have to keep me updated on how your ego holds up. that one seems interesting. and i got to look at that vv box and im going to see if i cant find some more info on it. if it alls good, ill be getting it depending on how my money situation pans out. so 8 months and no problems? are you still using the original batteries and how much do you vape a day?

@yzer thats the reason i had got the epower in the first place (10$ replacement switch) but the individual price means nothing if you have to replace the cheaper parts so often... so with your experience the new epower and new versions of the buttons have lasted you well? and just the epower in general has been a pv? ive been fine with mine until these problems came along. and i expected my 2nd to last at least as long as the 1st and a month or less later it went poop. and thats what i have is the 14650. could you post a link to where you get your stuff?
