I've found that everyone everywhere tends to be curious and impressed by e-cigs, whether it be at a bar or anywhere. I've read nightmare stories about people getting thrown out of places or met with negative reception. I live in California. Anyone experience any negative feedback from your local community>

My experience has ranged from curiosity to indifference, haven't yet had any negative run-ins, yet. Not even taking my Provari through airport security two or three times a week, I've had a few ask what it is, others already knew, like today the TSA guy looked at it in the bin on top of my coat and asked, "is that an electronic cigarette?" I replied in the affirmative, he pointed it out to the lady running the scanner, and she simply said, "yeah, that's what he wants us to THINK it is," laughed at her little joke and I passed right through!
FYI you're better off putting the larger tube or box mods right in the bin and out in the open, prepared to answer the question, than trying to stash it in your carry on, found that out and thought I'd share!

I also haven experienced any form of bad reception towards me, except several stares from an elderly copule filled with disapproval, but I think it was because they didin't realise I was vaping 
The bad reception I receive is mostly from smokers. Maybe it's me but I feel less welcome standing out in the cold vaping with them while they smoke. And these are my friends. All are failed vapers who went back to the stinkies. Maybe some resentment there.
I've only had a couple of people ask me about my PV and they were both smokers. They were more curious to if it actually worked and expressed interest in possibly trying vaping. So overall, to this point my experience has been positive.
I vape all over the place. Haven't gotten any negative comments. I have gotten tons of "Congratulations!" after I tell them I haven't had a single cigarette in 13 weeks.
Most are curious, some try and cough and others are "I tried those and they suck" (gas station cheep0s im guessing) I have what i think is a decent fakecig and have been using it for quite some time, but its time for the wife and I to cut costs again and get some better flavor. I see tons of stuff i want to try but im not looking for another hobby either.
