I tried my sister's Green Cig a couple of weeks ago. I did my research, ordered a 510, and haven't touched tobacco since. I smoked 1-1/2 packs a day for about 18 years and have never felt better. I still have a bout 5oz of tobacco and a box of tubes but have had no desire to touch them in what will be a week tomorrow.

I bought my first e-cig mostly for when Im at my computer, it seemed when messing around on my computer I would smoke one right after another.
I didnt plan to quit, just cut down some.
My first week with the e-cig I went from 2 packs a day to 3 packs in a week.
I figured if I can do that without even trying to quit, then quitting will be a breeze.
I have been smoke free for 1 week today, sometimes I still get the urge to light up but a few puffs of my e-cig and I overcome it.
I grown to prefer the e-cig more than real cigs in just two weeks.

The flavors are awesome, much tastier than a real cig.

I smoked my last cig at midnight on 12/09/09. Completely smoke free for 5 full days now! Honestly have not had a lot of cravings. My 510 has made it much easier than I thought it would. I will admit that while I sat at my computer on Sunday I vaped all day long and went through a pretty good amount of juice.

I have placed two additional orders since I got my initial shipment. I've spent about 170 bucks in three orders, but I've saved about 30 dugs that I would have spent on cigs. Once I get my next shipment in I should be set for 2-3 months or so and I should pay myself back for everything around New Year's or a little after. Although I haven't really seen a lot of health benefits yet, I will say that I haven't woke up with that tobacco hangover, that has been with me for 20+ years, in the past couple of days.

I have quit for more than 5 days before, but I've never felt as confident in not needing a cig after 5 days, that's for sure!

Your mom said not to say...
I originally posted in this thread months back after my initial success and I am proud to say that I am still tobacco free and have not looked back. I was able to quit smoking the very day my first kit arrived and did not have to work at quitting at all. I am now at the point where I don't even grab my E-Cig first thing in the morning like a I used to when I first started using them just as I did cigarettes.

I smoked my last tobacco cigarette on 9/11/09 and am still amazed at the ease of quitting. I think that the people that are still on the fence or smoking would be able to finish the job if they just didn't have any cigarettes handy or available to them. If you just commit to using the E-Cig whenever you feel the need for nicotine and not have tobacco products in reach quitting is quite possible. If you have to hang the thing around your neck and use it like a pacifier then whatever it takes, you will soon be free from the slavery of nicotine and smoking tobacco. I have taken a couple of drags in one month intervals to see how tobacco cigarettes taste and I can honestly state that E-Cigs are much tastier and I can't imagine what the hell I was thinking to get hooked on those things so many decades ago. Good luck to those that are still smoking a little bit, stick with it you can quit, just look around you at all the people who have and take some comfort in the fact that it's possible.

I've quit completely. The smell of tobacco is now very disgusting.

I will second that notion. I honestly can't believe how bad it smells and I've only been smoke free for a week. No wonder the nonsmokers wanting this stuff banned in public places. I was a strong supporter of smoker's rights when we took the vote here in Ohio, but after realizing what they were smelling I kinda have to change my tune. I'm surprised we weren't making them vomit...

Got my dual 510 L2 on 12/01/09 along with 3 flavors, cappucinno, turkish blend and 555.
I've had 2 analogs in 2+ weeks just to compare. I truly prefer the e-cigs and the different flavors. Haven't even wanted an analog after smoking a pack+ a day for 34 years.

No morning cough and clearing the throat. Breathing easier. Wish I had found these e-cigs years ago.

After 30+ years of smoking, 1 cold turkey quit (made it 1yr and 2 months), I can now finally say I'm done with cigarettes. Been vaping almost 8 months. Cheated quite a bit during the first 7. Now I'm about a month in with NO cheating. I have no desire what so ever to smoke. I can't stand the smell or the taste anymore. I was still letting my bf smoke in my house, not anymore. The last one he lit up in front of me almost made me throw up.

I think it must be habit as I do not enjoy analogs I get nothing from them. There has to come a time when my brain will accept this and let me get on with my e cigs
Try keeping your analogs out of reach, so you have to DO something to get them instead of automatically taking one out of the pack.

And if you start smoking one and realize you're not enjoying it, go ahead and put it out and throw it away - you're not obligated to finish it!
