Its been one year since the original poll was placed by nitewriter. This is a simple reroll of the exact same questions simply to see if the results have changed over that time.

I thought a poll might give us some idea of the quitting success rate percentages. These numbers might be useful in our future.

I've seen several people say that they have completely quit smoking with e-cigs. I've seen others say that they still smoke analogs along with e-cigs, and a few that have said they use them to smoke in pubs and other places where analogs are banned.

If you've used them to just cut down, please add a note as to how much you've cut down.

I have quit smoking analogs completely since the first day that I received my SD. I have only been vaping since November 2009 but, that is a miracle to have quit for so long since I was not able to do that after smoking over thirty years and I have tried the patch, gum, chantix, Zyban, and hypnotism -(all without any results as remarkable- ex. I was on the patch and zyban at the same time in the military and still smoking right alongside these treatments.)

In three weeks give or take, will be 1 year with no cigarettes.
I stopped cold a 44-year, 2-3 pack-a-day smoking habit Mar 9 2009 when I received my NPro. 12mg/ml juice now, about 1+ ml per day, sometimes a little more, depending, and feeling great! A very long way from the wheezy, coughing, depressed, fatigued, stinky, mottle-faced person I was then. Ecigs saved my life and totally improved my quality of life, no doubt in my mind.

28 days without a regular cig, what a miracle. I'm afraid to light up, I might like it and start smoking again.
I wouldn't worry about that so much! Have you tried one? Maybe now would be a good time, to put your mind at rest forever! They are absolutely gross, and you will be in the shower almost by the time you get it put out. Extra mouth wash, maybe a shot or two of Gin. To Celebrate.
Funny, but I still enjoy the smell of first smoke off a just-lit cigarette, of course someone else is smoking it. Part of the addiction, I suppose.

I start vaping and quit smoking completely in late June, about a week after I got my NPro and probably a few days after I got my 510 Titan. But when I say I quit smoking completely, what I mean is that cigarettes no longer have any hold over me whatsoever.

But I still smoke a cigarette now and then, maybe once every two months, just as a joke I like to play on the cigarettes. I absolutely love how horrible they taste, and how much I could care less if I ever have one again. I laugh at them and spit in their little cigarette faces.

I quit the first day and I haven't looked back. There is the rare occassion that I think of an analog, but it passes in seconds. I still vape in the same area as my co-workers, but only at break time. The smoke smells pretty strong and makes it harder to breathe. The rest of the day I vape wherever I want, and don't even think about it.
