In all honesty, I had never even heard of this show, but after watching this yesterday, I actually heard them mention the show on the radio this morning....Weird how that works

Another of the curses of being unemployed: I'm way too familiar with daytime tv.

Not so far fetched, if it could be arranged for a few informed, sensible and articulate people like VocalEK to be on Oprah and/or other popular, influential or respected program(s). What a great opportunity it would be to explain the benefits of e-cigs. To show how they work and to also educate about harm reduction and perhaps even manage some exposure of the political forces lining up against this aspect of public health. A good harm reduction expert to add to such a group would be Carl V. Phillips.

I don't have any connections; does anyone?

I vote Oprah, her endorsement is golden. I didn't even know who Obama was until he was on her show promoting a book and I knew when I saw him there he would be President.

This show is growing in popularity year by year. A lot of older americans watch this program. If they decide to do another piece on the ecig, we could def see a increase in sales. Especially since this piece was done before they were available in the US.

If this show was originally aired in Jan '09, then it's within the range that e-cigs have been available in the US (roughly since Nov/Dec '07).

Its funny because now that I saw this post, I have been noticing the doctors a lot more now. It's a really good show, I have been catching it since this post. Thanks for letting me know the show was around.

I don't think they will be mainstream enough to be on oprah at the moment. Since the backlash came,I'm not sure she would touch them. It would be nice, but I highly doubt it. Unless a study comes out saying that they are 100% better alternative than tobacco.

What about Dr. Oz??? He knows his stuff and if he gave them a thumbs up for current smokers that would be out of this world. He is a cardiovascular surgeon so yea. But Oprah has alot more viewers so idk.
