You reminded me but I'm NOT relating the following little story to the vaping industry...

When I was still on Aerospace and out at Rocketdyne we were going over the old design problems of the Apollo and eventually Space Shuttle main engines. One of the problems was with seals having to ensure the massive temperature shifts and brutal conditions of launch through orbit through re-entry. This was causing a lot of concerns over fuel leaks, lost fuel, and safety...

So they decided if they couldn't fix the leaks, they'd make the leaks work for them....

They engineered the various pathways for fuels and respective seals to leak back into the engine burners so they wouldn't lose fuel or cause external fires. It was such a cool set of papers and meeting recordings to go through. As they got over not being able to conquer something to "failing with style" (apologies to Buzz Lightyear). -Magnus

So...

Completely off our current topic:

Zorro one of our cats love to sit on top of my chair's headrest. No big deal. I'm reading and watching reviews for various mods with my headphones on and I reach up to pet him. Unbeknownst to me, he decided to get off the chair because he felt the need to puke on it. Since he was no longer there, I placed my arm right into his upchuck. I suppose I should be thankful he had the courtesy to turn his head the opposite direction of mine.

What haven't you done, Magnus? :)

Age. Insomnia. Creates a lot of room for doing things.... poorly. I still get to try though.

And I haven't done ever so much that would be more worthwhile. Like Alessandra Ambrosio or Suranne Jones.

*cough* The vultures are closing in though. -Magnus

Was it the pickles? The peanut butter? Or the Miracle Whip? ;-) -Magnus

Magnus, don't think I'm glossing over the leaking. It sucks, big time, and I agree it should have been fixed some time ago. The cracking with certain liquids is an even worse issue (which luckily, I haven't experienced).

I'm decidedly not happy about it. But I've put up with it because otherwise the performance has been so good, and in the long run I've saved quite a bit of my very limited funds by using the CE2s (over half by rough estimate). So I've been willing to be on the bleeding edge.

Anyway, I'm not arguing with you ;). They really need to get their act together on these things.

I must be bleeding more than you randy cuz the leaking really does suk and worse it or was finding a substitute for the tubes because like magnus said syringe modding does leave an off taste for some people...me included...but off taste was to me better than NO VAPE...

Of course now I have a gen and cannot go back to CE2s...it just magnified the sense of the off taste and plus there is simply no comparison...maybe if we are lucky we wont have to wait much longer for Raidy's SUPER atty... or whatever he is naming it...if its better than the genesis we definitely wont have to worry about people being willing to switch or about their will to fight the attempts to OVER regulate PVs...

So, even rocket science isn't rocket science?

I haven't tried too many fruit flavors. Except apple. I have been using apple with almost everything lately. Carmel, cinnamon, peanut butter. I have found I like that apple. I have a premixed blueberry that I got as a sample but I haven't opened it.

Apple, need to remember that one.

The Creme de Menthe I like a lot. Either on it's own or with a drop of spearmint. And of course with apple. LOL

+1 on this, it makes a killer "Andes Mint" when mixed with TFA chocolate. Made some for the better half with a mix of chocolate:creme at a 3:1 ratio. Even with zero nic it tastes very nice.

Edit: It seems that FA is a branch of PA so I do have some of their tobacco flavoring. I have:

Tobacco Blend (alc) which is tobacco absolute dissolved in alcohol (most either love or hate it)
RY4 Type Flavor which is nice and spicy but not much tobacco flavor to me (plays well with the others)
Maxboro Ultimate one of my favorites
Tobacco Virginia which is light tobacco flavor
Tobacco Camtel Ultimate another of my favorites
Tobacco Desert Ship another nice flavor

I like every one of them. I seldom mix any of them alone. I usually mix a little honey, sweetener, caramel, or perhaps peanut butter with them. Maybe some cherry. I like sweet tobacco. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these.

Next month I will be ordering a few I don't have yet.

I have both TFA Tobacco Blend (alc) and Tobacco Blend (PG), they both smell/taste quite strong on their own, really need to be mixed with *something* to get it just right. I haven't yet picked up the honey, caramel and PB, need to do that for the next order.

I wanted to pick up some FA tobacco flavors, the higher price made me hold off till next time.

The cherry flavor is VERY strong, anything more than a drop or two hits me hard, needs some sweetner (the EM works nicely for that).

I'm not a fan of CE2s in general but their latest batch to me had nothing unusually wrong with it. It's the large order I placed solely on their assurances that included the Vortex, Giantomizer, and Diamond duallies that turned me off. And their response to me not unlike the way they respond in the thread.

I'll get CE3s, just not from GotVapes. Somebody who actually listens to a customer after the customer goes down a losing road base don their assurances. -Magnus

I also bought from them because they were certain the Vortex was abc...
Got them home and every single one leaked like a sieve!:glare:
Out of a couple boxes I didn't have one that was good.
I sent them all back weeks ago still waiting for my cash a rama.
I loved the Giantomizers though but I buy/bought from COV.
I won't buy from Got Vapes simply because it isn't worth the hassle
of having to do the writing, packaging ,sending it back and now still waiting for my money back.
A letter telling me what's going on would also be good.

Got you! :)

Just checked out onestopdiyshop.com. Haven't seen the shipping costs yet, but in many cases their pricing is slightly better than buying directly from TPA! Plus I'm not limited to just one company's flavors. This could be bad...

I get all of my flavors from them too, shipping is generally $6.00, and I was able to use "ECF" for 10% off (should still be current).

I could blow $200 so easy in there, get one of nearly everything.....

I have never bought from them but for a reason some might find strange. Their website is a nightmare. Trying to navigate that site absolutely wears me out.

Just one of my pet peeves.

Websites that overuse Flash and don't maintain category continuity are nightmares. Actually GotVapes and COV both do that. COV has better customer service IMO though.

CB, exactly! As if they wait, we'll forget.

I am waiting for some other vendor responses to the CE3 now. Microcig says a lot of vendors should be carrying them. -Magnus

Kinda off topic (HA!): does anybody know where to find a "good deal" on some 3mL empty sampler bottles?

Suppose I should ask in the DIY section too. I keep mixing up 5mL batches that I don't like all that much, but I'm loathe to pitch them, cuz they still vape. Want to try just 1-2mL batches, and the smaller bottles are fantastic for this.

Here is one place. The prices are lower than most of the e-cig vendors. Don't know if they're the lowest available.

Cylinder and Boston Round Bottles with Dropper Caps | U.S. Plastic Corp.

I almost always do 3ml batches. Even if its a recipe I like. And boy do I have a few of them sitting around. LOL

That way I can change flavors often. That keeps me happy.
