I'm really starting to wonder if any of them read above a fourth grade level.
It's obvious they haven't a clue what constitutes addiction or what smoking consists of.
vaping is far beyond her comprehensive capabilities obviously.
They'll pick on anyone in the hopes to run us off that festering nest of vipers.

glad to see you call it like it is. However, it's not that they don't have a clue about what you try to inject into their thick skulls, what really shakes them up is the fact that with you guys being there they might just lose their bully control of that board.
A lot of you are absolutely correct in trying to help save lives. Meanwhile they're afraid they'll lose control of the board, damn the lives. I think you and your guys are providing an invaluable service. By having met you and this board I was able to convince a buddy of mine who wanted to quit, had tried everything and failed and now is content with his new pv. He LOVES it and I for one would not have been able to direct him if I hadn't met you guys, cause I knew .... about e-cigs until I met you guys. Thank you!

I appreciate the effort Magnus. Unfortunately, I'm not surprised by the outcome. I suspect it is just a matter of time before the rest of us are kicked out as well.
Curious, did you actually get some kind of reply stating you would not be approved? Or are you just stuck in limbo and still not approved like a number of others here?
Hope all goes well on the interview Randy. I picked up a bit of contract work so I'll be off installing new printers at a Wall-greens today, and trying to teach the photo shop employees how it works, but will be thinking good thoughts for you.

Well, they could be right. Hand to mouth might be an addiction, like taking a shower every day, or you know how some people can't stand to let more than a few minutes go by after eating to brush their teeth, and I've known people who were addicted to getting up and running in the morning before they brushed their teeth.
We don't know that much about how our brains work, and thus addiction, to say that the brain chemistry changes that feed the addiction have to originate with an external substance.
I don't mean to suggest that any of them would be willing to stop being a slave to a daily shower, or using deodorant, but then beliefs aren't bound to a consistency clause.
Placing a high value on ignorance as a cultural trait, and/or as part of a belief, is very popular and widespread in some societies, and like a lot of stuff like that, has some very old roots that it's unlikely that many of its current devotees are aware of.

Addictions are just habits that someone has attached a negative connotation. Even washing your hands can become an addiction with severe OCD.
Simple difference is that we do not add a negative to hand-to-mouth, simply because it does not "tie" us to something we fine negative. Wanting to have something in my mouth which is similar to a cigarette DOES NOT make me want to actually put a cigarette in my mouth. There are better alternatives

<sigh>Methinks people are over estimating QSMB's internet footprint. The Q is small beans. While it's important to try to reach as many people as possible, Fred has proven time and time again which side of the fence he is actually on. Blatant flames are tolerated as long as they come from the veterans. If a new "e-cig member" posts anything that could possibly be taken as offensive, it's either moved, closed, or deleted and it's poster swiftly dealt with. Fred certainly isn't stupid; he knows if he crosses his vets his site will die. However, I feel he is disingenuous. He'll say one thing, but in practice he doesn't follow through.
Honestly though, I think the biggest issue stems from the fact that e-cigs are not an FDA approved method for smoking cessation. Whether we agree with the FDA matters little. The average Joe and Jane places a lot of value on what that organization says and does because "they're looking out for us." After working in the nutritional supplement industry for numerous years, I know that's not the case. People here have experience with the FDA trying to shut them down and have a general distrust. The average person doesn't have any such experiences so, for better or worse, they trust the judgement of the FDA.
We'll be fighting a big uphill battle on smoking cessation sites and forums until the day e-cigs become a "valid" smoking cessation method. I think we'll have far more success as individuals reaching out to those we know personally and offering our experiences.
I sent an email to Honeyville about their mistake in sending my order twice. They told me to keep it.

As I related before I had written Freddyboy a letter or two to inquire why members were banned when I could not find a single offensive post nor any posts going against their ToS.
I asked Fredo for clarification. I wanted to know specifically which paragraph/sentences were offensive to the site or to him personally.
Am I wrong or is RainForest a mod? I never saw "moderanter" listed on her/his avatar kind of sneaky how s/he baits others into replying just so s/he can have them banned.
If this isn't the work of a anti-vaping storm trooper, then I cannot imagine what one could be.
This is one really shameful or shameless you choose.

I don't understand why you continue to allow Brad in particular to make harassing remarks and post his absolutely unrelated horrid comments to user of the board. I have seen a few users banned for reasons no one can fathom and reasons that were allegedly against board rules.
How is it that none of Brads or Katiem's nasty bigoted comments are somehow staying within your guidelines?
I just don't get it and I feel sure if I were to respond in kind I would most assuredly be banned in an instant.
I was also not able to report his post I'm guessing that perhaps it was already reported by someone?
I would like some clarification please.

I wouldn't go so far as to say QSMB is going to implode. Die a slow death? Probably. It's a "members only" club slightly less hateful and ignorant as WhyQuit.
I sincerely doubt new members are signing up in droves. Much of the new member activity lately has been driven by ECF. Most people tend to lurk at a forum for a time before pulling the trigger and signing up for membership. I know I was that way with ECF. If I had seen half of the flaming and general hatefulness here as I've seen at QSMB there is no way I would have become a member. I still believe if people want to find information about e-cigs they'll find us.

I agree Nate, and good for you on your Honeyville order. Very nice of them, although I suppose they'd have to dump the extra order anyway if you did return it.
I'll be forgetting about them and instead work on this beautiful day. At least I get to take breaks whenever I want provided the work gets done, so it's not all bad. Enjoy the pond!

No CB, Rain is NOT a mod. They have no mods there and have always prided themselves on it. Obviously it's great for them, because they can bully to their hearts content. They've been doing it for years...right now it's you guys and when they didn't have you it was Beth, me, or someone else when things got too quiet.
They could never go more than 2 weeks without a major controversy of some sort..the crap they do there would NEVER happen on my board, never mind going 5-10 pages..Sheeeesh!
I too was surprised by this Troy the diver, but you see over there, if you happen to get in with the "old phartes" you are blessed and they won't attack you.

I still haven't tried all the different flavors. I like the chocolate mint cheesecake because it tastes like my DIY. I wouldn't order it again because I can make it myself. At the very least I'll have something for the PIF thread. I doubt I'm going to think all of the flavors are "winners".
