That was a tough thread you had to deal with over there! I would have jumped in to your defense, but I doubt it would have done any good - probably made it worse!

No worries. I have thick skin. I can handle pretty much anything but not being called a liar - not sure who she thought I was but I am sure it is someone from the "other" board they keep on about. And have your opinions but sometimes it is just good to keep to yourself. You set a good example. You don't ALWAYS have to get involved to make a point. Sometimes silence is just as effective.

Hmmm....that is really interesting that you say that! Cinnamon is a very popular flavor for new vapers (never was interested in it myself) and especially ones who are having a harder time making the break from the smokes. May be something there....

A lot of freshly quit smokers like cinnamon. I have been poking around and reading and you guys talk about throat hits. That was so what I used to miss when I quit. I always used to tell people that when I really craved I could feel it at the back of my throat. Cinnamon was strong enough that it would stop that. I could not use mints because I used to smoke every time after I brushed my teeth and chewing gum was a trigger for me - not sure why.

This is all so very interesting and I am learning a lot of things! Thanks.

Very funny website I have to say. Definitely made me smile this afternoon.

Now for the Key Lime Pie. Ok we don't get that here in Australia, however my wife and I made candles and Key Lime Pie is a scent that we produce. So who now is going to give me a good recipe for key Lime Pie that I can try down here. Might make a nice fresh and different dessert to have for a change.

Any and all recipes gratefully accepted. :)

Key Lime Pie

Graham cracker pie shell
14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
3 egg yolks
1/2 cup key lime juice

Blend the liquids 'til smooth, fill pie shell, bake at 350 F for 15 minutes
Let stand at least 10 minutes before refrigerating

Some places will coat in whipped cream, but I like the tartness so I serve it on the side.
Really simple recipe, really.

Oh, if it's green, it ain't key lime pie! Not really, but why add green food coloring?

This is kinda funny ... I kept hearing you all bemoan your spell checker earlier in this thread (or was it the other one who can remember) and I wondered what you were talking about. All I ever got was a wavy red line under a word. So I would retype it and retype it till I got the red lines to go away. Sometimes it took me a while. I hated those red lines.

Well I realized today you can click on it and select the proper spelling. I am almost embarrassed to admit this. almost LOL

Here, let me throw some embarrassment your way. I'm the technical master wizard. I had no idea I can do that. I've always just retyped my word to spell it correctly.

I would usually give it about three tries ... if I still had those nasty red lines I would either leave it spelled wrong or choose a different word. That is just so funny.

I always had a really hard time with the word withdrawel

ohhh its withdrawal ..... Thank you magic dictionary.

Evening Peeps. Been a day - sigh. Sitting back and chillaxing, although I am not chemical free this evening. My husband and I are watching the Cannucks/Bruins game and I am consuming some vodka and I BBQ'd which I think was a huge carcinogenic debate at one time.

Sorry that people are all subjected to that seeing as we all really have one thing in common - which is to get off the horrible cigs. I asked my husband tonight what he would prefer I do if I ever came to him and told me I was going to smoke. Go out and get gum and have to chew it forever or use a PV. He said gum originally because he thinks that the hand to mouth would re-awaken things and cause me to start smoking again. I let him read here for a while (hope you don't mind) and after an hour he came back and said - those e-cigs would be okay too as long as you didn't always have me try and fix it LOL.

I talked to my doctor today too and he told me if you can't stop the "habit" then I would prefer you dropped the 4000 plus chemicals and work on the habit.

Just remember if you CAN stop it there's no point in taking this up.

Thanks - my hubby thinks so to....grrrrr. Soooo just kidding lol.

My doctor said that for him - abstinence is perfection. (He's wordy LOL). That he would prefer nothing be entering the body but that there are some out there where that is not achievable. In that case, harm reduction is key to him and although he is not as versed on electronic cigarettes - he would refer those over cigarettes. I actually got him thinking about stuff and he said that he is going to go and read some peer reviewed studies and papers.

I like my doctor. He is not a prescription pad. He takes time to actually find out what is going on me. I was misdiagnosed with something years and years ago and he got it right off...saved me a lot of continuing pain.

To me that's how you tell a good Dr. My family doctor growing up never wrote me a script she didn't really think was necessary. She was awesome the only things I miss about my hometown are my sis and her family, and My Dr.

Okay my husband and I are practical jokers. We got married on April Fool's Day....so we have decided that since it is now being sold at London Drugs in Canada, we are going to go there tomorrow, go to the pharmacists counter and he is going to let the person know he is hot, and looking for some Fresh Balls. If the person looks at him funny, he is going to continue to ask for Fresh Balls, everyone he knows has Fresh Balls and all he wants is some Fresh Balls. How long do you think we can do it until we get in trouble. I am going to secretly video it with my phone if I can :) That is the funniest thing EVER.

That would be a riot we want to see it or it didn't happen.

You know if you get married on April fools it doesn't count ;). That makes me think of something else too... I wonder how many men get married on leap day so they only have an anniversary once every 4 years?

You all do realize you've turned this thread into a defacto group model now. No topic, all the time, constantly, .. it's cute in an evolving insta-social network sort of way. I like it. -Magnus

Yes this is our party thread where OT is the T of the day :D

I like cinnamon candy, cinnamon rolls, cinnamon on my French Toast... I can't stand vaping cinnamon. I tried for almost a full day to get myself to tolerate it and that was in a vape that just had a bit of cinnamon to it.

Fondue, if I can't spell a word correctly after 3 or 10 or 20 tries, I go to google. Google is great for spelling errors. In any case, I don't need to do that now. Right click, and the suggested words are there. It always pisses me off when I just get it wrong by one vowel, and with all my trying I never think of changing the vowel.

Oh, one thing that does really piss me off, is all the misspelled words, no punctuation, and grammatical errors. I thought this board was bad, but there's another one that is ten times worse. I can deal with any mistakes around here now.

OMG - this woman is a grandmother. I don't know why, but I pictured her a little younger. If my grandmother ever talked like she talks.... She's no -lol-, that's for darn sure.

I was pleasantly surprised to get a friend request from her earlier, -lol- that is. I couldn't push accept fast enough. Kind of made my morning.
