... To try and scare people away in this manner is just as irresponsible as it would be for any of us to say they are 100% safe, which we don't. Makes me wonder if this guy has a personal beef with e-cigs. Did he use one and it didn't work, or is he a plant? ...

I think that's a big part of the issue. There are some members on this forum that are bit "trigger happy" when it comes to dismissing anything that could possibly paint e-cigs in a negative light. The member is a troll because they have a low post count or they registered recently. If they post about a bad reaction or an illness, it's written off as a side effect of quitting analogs or because they smoked X packs a day for 20+ years. Sometimes it's just a knee jerk reaction to someone speaking negatively about something we enjoy doing.

I'm not saying you do this, Sallie. Just that I have noticed it on this board.

Here you go Sallie.

Ole is on his deathbed. The doctor has told him he has only a few hours to live. He catches the scent of his favorite bars wafting through the air. With all the strength he can muster, he drags himself into the kitchen and sees a fresh pan cooling on the rack. He cuts one out and bites into the scrumptious cookie. Lena comes in, smacks his hand, and says, "Shame on you, Ole! Dese are for after de funeral!"

Ole went to the Sons of Norway Hall one night and finally won the door prize, which was a toilet brush. He was so excited that he won he brought it home and used it often. Someone asked him during the next meeting what the prize was and if he liked it or not. Ole replied, "Yea I like the toilet brush, but I think I'm gonna go back to using paper."

So true Nate, and I tend to do the opposite. All reports of adverse health effects I weigh very carefully. I do visit the health section. It can be a scary place, but that's because it's hard to sift through what's real, what's normal and isn't a concern, like dry mouth, and what may be nothing more than a case of hypochondria. It disturbs me when these things are dismissed out of hand, I think we all need to give all reports careful consideration. Until years have gone by and there is definitive evidence one way or another, we need to be responsible and draw our own conclusions about these reports. On the other hand, I think when someone says I quit smoking using an e-cig and now I'm coughing up a lung, we also need to step in and point out all the possible reasons and suggest a visit to a doctor is in order.

My suggestion that Electricman is a troll is not based on post count alone. It's based on where those posts are and where they aren't and the fact that, so far, he hasn't admitted any personal experience with electronic cigarettes. At least not that I'm aware of. If he has, I apologize and it would make his current activity more understandable. Although, posting about potential nicotine poisoning in the e-cig forum and not on the main board, posting about the disposal of e-cigs and batteries, or the potential for batteries to explode also pushes my opinion in the troll direction.

I'm just going to take that for the compliment it is.

From what I've read over there, he has never mentioned any experience with an e-cig, but I don't spend much time there. I only take a look-see when someone posts a link and I'm in a particularly good mood. Otherwise, I think that place would drive me insane.

His post on batteries was ridiculous and I'll just leave it at that...

Makes me wonder if this guy has a personal beef with e-cigs. Did he use one and it didn't work, or is he a plant? I agree with whoever it was over there that said it's suspicious that a brand new member would spend more time fighting in the e-cig forum than he does on the main board.
In my mind there is no doubt whatsoever that Electricman is a troll with some kind of anti-electronic cigarette agenda.
He is spending a lot of time searching for anything he can find to try to discredit us personally or make electronic cigarettes look bad.

It's so obvious that I have to think anyone (other than a new member) from either side of the fence can clearly see that.
The problem is the new members or people who haven't been following won't see it as clearly.

Nate, what would've happened if she said Mangus? Or Magnum instead?

I think Magnum you would've bronzed it and used it in pick-up routines. Hey baby... ladies call me... Magnum. -Magnus

Just dropped over to the other board and had a quick look around, nice pick up on the Warrior lying about her age.

She claims she doesn't drink? This late night statement:

First off I have to warn ye that I just came in from being out with the girls so the spelling well not be good

suggests that she does. What else connected with a night out with the girls is likely to have an affect on one's spelling?

Very frosty here, nearly 11 am and still frost everywhere the sun hasn't reached yet.

Cheers

Well, I got a bit of flack for it, but I really don't give a hoot about her age. It makes no difference to me if she's 21 or 51. I get the whole woman and her age thing, but don't lie, just say you'd rather not say or side step it, or say something like "I'm as old as you want me to be." Okay, that last one sounds bad, doesn't it?

SS summed it up nicely, if you'll lie about anything, you'll lie about anything.

I looked for that other post, but I couldn't find it. I didn't want to point that out if I couldn't back it up.

ETA: It was 105 here today at one point. :p
