E-Cigarette Forum Discussion Thread

Methinks there is nothing any of you could ever do to please Little Miss Stephanie.

So far as keeping us together... the mods might be willing to create a forum group that we could join, if we ask (no idea on the procedure, though). That might be better even, since we could have different threads for different things.

I wouldn't want to lose track of you guys either!

I like the idea... We need a cool name though... and official hats! ohhh and buttons!

Omg I just made this honey basil vinnegrette dressing (of course I added my own touch because I have some kind of compulsive disorder that requires me to fiddle with any recipe I make) but it's terrific...yum yum!

Do you guys think I'm getting a bit obsessive about the whole salad thing?

I belong to a couple of social groups, but I never look at them.
I follow conversations I am having by following my subscribed threads.

You can't subscribe to social group threads as far as I know.
But I do know they don't show up in my subscribed threads.

Just wondering & I asked this on the Q board-how was it you picked the Q board to promote your E cig? I guess if it was me & pretty much didn't get a feeling that the E cig is a topic I'd be careful about dropping in & praising my choice of quit helps.

I can almost agree with them in one regard... it's getting a bit boring to talk about QSMB antics; they've become far too predictable, and I too often feel compelled to try posting something to try to reason with them. That would be about as productive as trying to teach a rabid dog to play fetch. As bad as it is, though, it's still gratifying to see when someone shows a bit of acceptance, or you're able to reach out and help someone.

I'd rather have a new place to hang out with my new friends, and talk about flavors and salads and crazy cats and cry over our lost pets, with a few Monty Python videos thrown in at strategic moments, and hear about it when you've managed to help someone find a new way to quit smoking when nothing else has worked.

You know guys I just don't see how this can work out... step back and think about it from their perspective...

We log on we check the other board thinking everything is fine and whoops another argument has ensued... so of course since we talk about everything here we talk about it... to us its pretty innocent just venting and throwing out ideas on why things are how they are and what if anything we could do to improve on it short of leaving that board...

To them it looks like we're a little gang planning to overhaul their board.... I don't know maybe some of you are (planning to overhaul their board I mean) but that's not my intention. I think it would be better if we just focused on the not smoking thing and let the rest work itself out.

They are not going to change their beliefs and honestly what right do we have to try and make them?

The whole nicodemon thing bugs me but I pretty much dismiss it because I know there's no nicoangel either.

Anyway my point is I know we're not plotting to take over the world but I can sure see how to them it would look that way.

You'd have to ask John Phoenix why he picked your forum to make that first post.
The rest of us only went there because he was being attacked.

But I think John has already explained a bunch of times why he picked your forum.
He said it was because it was the first thing that came up in a Google search.

And he said he posted his story because he didn't see anything posted about electronic cigarettes and thought people should know.
He also said he was not aware of the mindset there, nor that he would get attacked the way he did.

You know I have this rather annoying habbit of seing both sides of things (most of the time). I say annoying because it makes me feel divided and that's sometimes hard on me mentally.

ETA: I love this board ECF is my little home on the internet that's why I became a supporting member...but... there's a few people over there that I have really come to like and when the drama isn't flaring I really like it there too.... sigh

Maybe we should just fade out... I just don't know.

I couldn't agree more.

That is why for the most part I am only posting in the Electronic Cigarette section.
I have pretty much only ventured out to make that post about how nicotine can be beneficial for some people.

And even then, I only did it to correct an erroneous statement.

Part of me wishes I hadn't posted it.
But another part of me knows it is information that could save some lives.

Having said that, I don't know if I'd do it over again.

Regardless, I made the decision to get involved over there, and I feel I have a responsibility to remain.
We are in essence responsible for that Electronic Cigarette section, and as long as it is there, I will be there too.

I know some of the people on QSMB think you are contemplating e-cigs. I hope you aren't. You have a great CT quit going!

All I can say is there must be a ton of chemicals packed in those flavorings...which would mean everyone who is not vaping them is eating them.
