Not... being... mean....Not a mean bone in my body...I'm the one people pick on...Granted I do eventually snap and fight back but it takes a long time and a lot of hooey being shoveled my way...I talk in fact... and I'm sorry If my blatant style offends but well...I think my opinion can best be summed up like this...
My definition of ignorance: lack of knowledge...(something that CAN be corrected by learning and education)
My definition of stupid: The refusal to learn anything different from a set value in ones mind despite the fact that said belief flys in the face of reality...(cannot be educated or taught out due to said refusal)or just plain refusal to better ones self...
and to top it off remember I only see in black and white...(figuratively) I don't believe in shades of grey ( example)to me a white lie to preserve someones face is a LIE and does the person a disservice...so don't ask me a question you don't want to hear the answer to I will tell the blatant cold hard truth...and if it hurts well... maybe its time to re-evaluate your actions/behaviors/beliefs...
I am what I profess to be, an open minded individual w a particular set of disabilities/skill-set I don't call my Aspergers Syndrome a disability(thats the worlds opinion) but I do know if is off putting to some people...I believe it does give me a particularly effective set of skills for my particular chosen profession THAT'S MY STORY AND I'M STICKING TO IT...

And to the credit of your having problems with PVs ...I would most likely be dead or close to it now...not to say I wont get cancer in 5-10 years....I was waking up coughing and choking for an hour or so each morning when i switched...sometimes to the point of vomiting till dry heaves...Yes I should go see a doctor...even though I am no longer doing that but I have a beef with doctors...My own stupidity but well founded and its not refusal...its just I better be hurting or dying...I lost 4 yrs of my life to doctors...I was misdiagnosed and mistreated...(why do you think its called PRACTICE)
my family has ostracized me and treats me like crap because of their diagnosis during those 4 yrs...I have lost much and continue to suffer for a doctors INSUFFERABLE ARROGANCE!!.....so yea I don't trust them...nor do I trust or make friends easily...too much bad blood...

I think this side of the equation is pretty mellow. Honestly, most of us here have made their stance quite clear:
Please quit smoking, we want to help you, and an ecig is one option you can use to do this. Deal with the nicotine question AFTER you have quit smoking.
That's all this has ever been about. The demonizing came from the other end of the pond. Then it degenerated into name calling and flame posts.
There have been no sales pitches. Questions have been asked, and answers have been given. Back and forth, just like it should be.
There have been no offensive attacks about how dumb nicotine cessation really is. A properly formed argument for nicotine cessation is one thing, (Simon over at Q is an excellent example of this), but the vast majority of opponents have been rather snarky and hostile.
I've been giving my opinions here and there, have not been attacked personally, but again I am not putting myself "out there" as others have with regard to information and the like, so my visibility is lower.
In the last month, there have been at least three, possibly four individuals that have come to the Q site looking for information about ecigs so they could make a decision that would best suit their own situation. I'm rather proud that I was able to offer help with info and insight along with the other fine individuals here.
Nobody from here is posting pro-ecig news in the cold turkey section, not even on the main board. How much nicer can we be? We're following the rules, calling people out when they make an assumption based on bad source information.
Keep an eye on who instigates these "snapping posts". The majority are either from anti-ecig folks, or from incredulous newbies wondering why the ecig concept is being treated like a toilet seat... Never mind the short bit we did on "still having that ol' hand to mouth addiction LOL".
I enjoy assisting newbies by answering general questions about my chosen quit method. My personal testimony isn't some kind of billboard advertisement. I quit smoking using an ecig, and am very comfortable and knowlegeable of the situation I've placed myself. It worked when other options did not, and is a method I can confidently say I can continue to rely on moving forward if the need arises.
I'm 50% zero nic and 50% 3-12mg these days. I'm not addicted to nicotine, and I've shown I can exist without it. The ecig is secondary, because I can use it with no nicotine with little worry or hassle.
I realize stopping smoking without the fear of nicotine throws a huge chain into the works of traditional stop-smoking tracks, time will win out on this one. By then everybody in the nico-demon tent will have calmed down and accepted the fact that many will choose to quit smoking but could give a hoot less about their nicotine. I'd assume it would be a grudging acceptance at most...
Life is good, still not smoking. Raspberry champagne tastes pretty good with morning coffee.

lol no rebuttal just pure outrage tyvm...whether it has been noticed or not I tend to try something not entirely dissimilar to how bout them Cowboys... when I notice it getting a little heated in here...I see a post referring to a "confusing" (not to me I thought it was straightforward in what it said) post on the Q board...I looked and gave my response...now granted my response may have been a little TOO blunt but I definitely was not MEAN!!! Mean is what I was thinking about when I made my response to being told I was mean or making a mean post...and I still tried to be nice...despite the fact I was kinda peeved...
What I find disappointing @ QSMB is that nearly every thread I have read re: e-cigs turns into a "nicotine evil" vs "nicotine good/nicotine not as evil as you think" debate. Some people fail to comprehend the harm reduction aspect of e-cigs. In their eyes, you haven't "quit" anything and you might as well just continue smoking cigarettes.

Yeah, I came back from a trip to Mexico with a little bit of Montezuma's Revenge.
I had my battery charger packed in the luggage and for two days I just didn't have enough motiviation to go unpack it.
So I went two whole days without vaping, and never heard a single peep out of the Nicodemon.
Here's to hoping all of you poor sick fella's will feel better soon.

No matter how how sincere we are when posting about whichever topic, we will never be accepted by those people and regardless that a few keep stating "it isn't because you use an ecig" it is!
As for stephanie's ongoing "we hate qsmb" thread where is it? That is a crock and I'm sure everyone is tired of mentioning to her {I am anyway} that John had that thread closed because he felt we were moving on from that stance but it's a damned shame they won't.
All of this is directed at us simply because we didn't choose to be miserable {maybe some are} by putting ourselves through the difficulties that going through "cold turkey" seems to cause most users.

You cannot continue to play both sides here or there Beth.
I don't have anything against you, Stephanie or Troy the Driver or whomever but when you make comments that go along with what they are ranting about over there I don't appreciate it. I have not called you out there because I didn't want to add to the bs but now I am done keeping my mouth shut when I hear all the nastiness coming from some of you {not you lately though, thanks!}.
It just doesn't seem to matter to many at qsmb how they appear to new people or old regardless of the topic. What is ironic is that it is somehow BAD that we have a thread to discuss how it makes us feel when qsmb users are so hostile, nasty and discourteous to us so we don't have to vent there but we shouldn't even be allowed this on our home site according to stepknee. I don't see you people refraining from lambasting us daily for no other reason than you can. We try to reason why "you people" have so much anger but I for one cannot find any rational reasons.
