I remember the humidity in FL just being nasty. Take a shower, dry off, still wet...

Do they still do the fireworks at the pier? Funky upside down pyramid... Fun times.

Uh oh...Magnus....Magnus talk to me buddy....are you OK...?

I think I'm going to ask for a ban from the OUTSIDE!.

...

So the day is finally over and over. I can clean all my gear tomorrow... I know the Vets enjoyed themselves but the homeless effort was less fruitful. The various pick-up points were barren or cleared out as people finally got there. All these ordinances made for purely aesthetic reasons make it impossible to coordinate something outside of the existing shelter and cafeteria structure. Which totally defeated the point of today's particular efforts.

...

I pointed at least a hundred people toward ECF and CASAA. How much of it will stick I'm not sure. My mistake was only having my favorite mods with me instead of 808s or something. The $$ signs that a GRIP or The Precise exude aren't exactly encouraging. Grr Magnus.

One other vaper around all the crowds I saw. Just one. Looked like they had a eGo and they were dripping. By the time I tried to search him out the crowds were too big.

...

PRO-TIP 1: If you're of Middle Eastern origin and you've made homemade fireworks. That's frowned upon.

PRO-TIP 2: If you also bring a toolbox that has lock-picking gear and a huge spool of bumping keys. Also frowned upon.

PRO-TIP 3: The crazy guy who is awfully interested in them isn't helping the situation with the non-crazy guy who is most likely a Fed.

PRO-TIP 4: Don't try to lighten the mood with a joke about how you're just a lost Pagan manning the BBQ.

PRO-TIP 5: Once you've already done (1), don't try to ~not~ set them off because that just further raises suspicion.

PRO-TIP 6: Do not let the crowd separate you from the dock and the escape boat.

PRO-TIP 7: If people ask who you're typing away with, make something up. The truth doesn't help.

...

I usually enjoy my Scotch or my obscure beer selection. Tonight I brought home Budweiser and I'm getting drunk. -Magnus

Hmm, strange that... Vapers do seem pretty rare, but the folk on the QSMB seem to know dozens of them, all appearing to have terrible luck with their e-cigs...

My hubby is working a new construction job,he is an electrician, there is a LOT of the workers that use the ecig but he said it's messed up cause if they can't get the flavor they like or,the battery runs down, etc etc they will just go get cigarettes and smoke them

Or, from somebody else...

The several people that I know that use the e-smoking device ALSO smoke regular cancerettes ALONG WITH the e-cancerettes

Very odd. Very odd indeed. They know so many, yet we know so few.

Cheers, and enjoy your Bud, you've earned it!

EDIT: I'm half asleep but I can't think my last post was offensive. Maybe this one was. So I've removed it. I'm a bit lost.

Hey Magnus
If you are in anyway referring to Hollyberry's "nevermind" it had nothing to do with you at all.
She just appeared to think better of something that she wrote in no way connected to anything in this thread.
Cheers

That thread gave me a headache.

I know, right? Beliefs can provide comfort, and be such positive forces in peoples's lives - or they can do the exact opposite. I guess that's true of a lot of things.

Sometimes I wonder why you guys bother anymore.

Because they are the Good Deed Operative Posse, and somebody who really needs help - like the guy from RD, might get plopped in there due to a rogue burp of the google spirits.

You can't cure stupidity. But you can shoot it.

It is most unseemly for me to laugh this hard at that.

Yes but how else can you cope with such ignorance if not by gleefully laughing at the absurd nature of their fear?
I just don't get the wanton, willful, "wussieness" {won't post here but call us cowards:confused:} at not wanting to have any knowledge about anything except "frozen turkey" as if having a teeny bit of knowledge will somehow implode their "Quite" [sic].
I hope to never have that kind of simpering paranoia and I wouldn't wish it on the worst of them even.

In other news.........I LOVE SPEEM by slip!:D

There's as many different quit methods as there are people. They may not have worked for me, or I may not have cared for them, but if it works for them, good. I couldn't care less that someone chose to quit "cold turkey", or with the pill, patch, gum, whatever. Good for them.

However, if it's really about being "free" of the addiction, I just don't understand why some people choose to continue to participate at a forum where they are constantly being exposed to the same addiction they are trying to avoid. I'm all for helping others, but after a while, wouldn't you want to move on and truly be "free"? Having to listen about others' struggles day in and day out would be more than a bit depressing.

Also, I don't know what some of these people were like before they quit, but if condescension and general "bum-hattery" are withdrawal symptoms or the by-product of their quit method of choice, I'm glad I went the route I did.

Well put Nate!
I dislike ignorance whether self induced or picked up at a site and I don't care how you quit either but if it leads to the general denigration of anything except "your way" I'm not for that.
also..........
I just cannot comprehend how putting your hand to your mouth is an "addiction" in itself somehow.
I've never seen anyone attempting to buy a "hand movement" to make them high nor being arrested for doing same!
Very odd to me.
Can someone please tell me how this works perhaps?

I'm not sure why they are so hung up on the "hand-to-mouth". If humans hadn't developed that ability we'd have gone extinct many years ago because we just couldn't figure out the whole "eating" thing.

I guess they hate anything that could possibly remind them of an addiction. I'm sure they despise straws and if they were menthol smokers Vick's VapoRub.
