Yeah, I saw that vendor post...they sure stoop to any level dont they.
And yes beth, there are doctors that LOVE passing out scripts. If you dont know they get kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies, well....Pharm reps are the biggest salesman around, right up with cars sales. Its a push through market. Dont act like youve never seen the suit followed by a female in another suit, with a big briefcase. Them aint patients, dear. Its just the way it is. Im not saying ALL docs are this way. Some docs choose to care, some choose to get paid. Kinda like quite boards..some care, some just pretend to.
But yes, you envy that we had an easy quite, as does the rest of the q board. I envy that I wasnt born with a silver spoon. Life goes on. But if your going to twist my words, do it in a believable fashion. Jumping to ludicrousy is just that..ludicrous.
As much as I want to sympathize with everyone in the world, were all dealt bad hands, so Im stuck with empathizing, and the great proverb " You can handle any WHAT, if you have a strong enough WHY".
Your why was along the lines of burdensome. Mine was more like a cool pill that made you lose 100lbs in a week, and actually worked, and gave me minty fresh breath to boot. I just refuse to feel bad for stumbling upon an easier way. Your goal was forced, mine was chosen. It is what it is. I cant feel bad for getting a little good fortune in life. ( aside from standard blessings we count daily )
If you or Q are gonna down us, do it cause were mean and hateful, not becuase we stumbled upon good fortune that we can pass on to others.
(its 2:30 in the a.m here..thats the best analogies I got right now, Im a walkin brain fart)

Sometimes I wonder if you'd think about the joys of being free & embrace it just a little you could maybe understand why the Q board sees things as they do. I know when I first quit & was waiting for all those pluses I doubted what they embraced BUT in time & I could breathe a bit better ( I have ashma) & then smelling stuff again & of course enjoying the taste of things &that just a few of the pluses which for sure those who are nic free must enjoy too? Theirs more to being free then cost & health issues even tho they are biggie reasons for quitting. I can't explain it.

Of course big pharm is pushing their drugs & drs. get their kickbacks, as much as I'm sure Plavix is a great drug I've always wondered how much my cardio dr. gets for every script he writes of that one-then down the road come the lawsuits so like duh I know the 2 groups work together & when e cig can get their hand in the cookie jar somehow this quit aid will be talked about. What do you think I twisted-after all alot of my posts are twisted & misunderstood so join the club....

I have my taste back, smell back, dont stink, and I can jog miles again...what else am I missing?....I am free girl, free as I want to be. Would be nice if everyone else would quite telling me or us, what we are or are not. Q is slave to their quites, were not slaves to ours. Ours is out of true want and/ or curiousity. Were werent forced. I bought something I thought might that might be cool, and I was right. And I quite smoking too. I'LL TAKE IT!
2 years later...I still like my cool new toys, I can still jog, and I still dont smoke...LOOKIN FORWARD TO NEXT 2
Actually, there IS one part that sucks. Ive noticed I HAD to step down from 24mg. Been on 18 for a while, but have been forcing myself to stay there. I dont wanna drop nic, but the body is saying its time. Body needs to shut up, cause Im cool....but Ill have to listen eventually and go to 12, then 6.....Not sure how Ill act when I just dont want nic anymore....I kinda like it in its pure form.

Most of the problems you cite have nothing to do with nicotine. Cilia is still affected with just nicotine but the comparative effect is a small fraction. Along the lines of having certain peppers.

Are there other potential problems? Yes. Do those problems have screaming risk in comparison to other life choices? No.

But for what you listed, e-cigs already address those. -Magnus

100-120 meters seems likely but some have suggested regulating at much shorter distances. So far I've said unless I say otherwise W-R decides. They keep using a stupid regulate to parallel phrase that seems to mean 150m in some insider circle. -Magnus
