The problem is, while it may sound odd to us, one thing I have learned here is that many people are strongly opposed to harm reduction, and believe that those who to them, are "Others" should receive the full complement of harm available, always and everywhere.

They might not consciously think of it that way, but they are so not fooling the wily old keyboard social anthropologist wannabe population! Not one bit!

I think they call themselves "Baptists"...

EDIT: My apologies to any Baptists among us.

I love that idea C.B. Anyone around at the designated time can join in. :thumb:

Everyone in favor say vape. :p

Okay that was silly, but I do like the idea. :)

I'll gladly join in when the times are right.
But I don't know a lot about webcams or chat rooms.

Still, I woud put my ugly mug up for grabs, if I knew how to.
I can't do it here, because my work mates might recognize me and figure out what I do all day.
:nah:

Me neither, DC.

I'm not much to look at, but I'm in... At least I'm not the one who has to look at my ugly mug. :)

I don't know that you would want my ugly face around, but I'd be up for a chat some night. With you ladies around, who could resist. I'm beging to think the best reason to vape is as an excuse to chat with the beautiful ladies of the ECF. Their witty words will reel you in, then the looks net you for good.

ETA: not tonight though, I'm supposed to be doing my paperwork for work at the moment.

Ok then so it seems we have a quorum and a chat some night it is!
Huzzah!
I'm headed to bed now but if anybody wants to take a stab
at which night{s} you'd like it to be and a time that would be awesome.
Since I'm lucky enough to not have to work anymore {unlucky mebbe?:glare:} those who work will have preference over the times available. Ok does that sound good and fair?
Why don't we all try to give our thoughts on this for sometime tomorrow.
Sleep well those of you still up and I'll catch ya' at the pond {if you're lucky!}
C.B.

Boone Iowa....trying to remember where that is...I have family in Ottumwa and Cedar Rapids that's right just above Des Moines....

Hows the weather up there...?

Basically find Des Moines, 35mi north on I-35 is Ames, IA (home to Iowa State U). Boone is 10 miles west on US 30. I drive into DM each day for work tho, living in the "almost-sticks" is much preferred over the urban cityscape (if you can call Des Moines urban, considering you are hailing from the DFW area)!

An acreage is in the works for someday....

On the weather front, it has been quiet. Some 80-90mph straight line winds early Monday AM, took alot of older trees out, but that's about it.

Thankfully no flooding here in central Iowa (this year anyway). My family up in the Sioux City area is dealing with the Missouri, which makes for interesting banter at home.

Speaking of weather, does Dallas get the humidity like down on the coast (Houston, etc)? My mom did some contract nursing down there a few years back (insane money if you are up for traveling and new faces every 5 weeks). Thought the continental climate in Iowa was bad... NOTHING like down south. Then there are those giant flying things... we call them planes up here, down there they are called mosquitoes.

Could cut the air with a spoon, then whip it into fondue.

I'm sure the hospital 2 of my aunts work at is seeing the results of flooding this year...

oh you mean Mosquito hawks...actually they aren't the mosquitoes....the mosquitoes here nobody lives to tell about...they carry you off down here...

not quite houston...but pretty bad this year nonetheless...no doubt gonna be the 6th day of consecutive 100+ degree weather...

well now I have to go save an auto-shop owner down the street from himself...he took in a job he couldn't handle...

(cue dramatic intro) M3 to the rescue...at least till I start getting dehydrated...then he's on his own till it cools off...

It's a perfect 74F right now. Too bad it won't last. At least we aren't suffering like TX. Lately it's been rather pleasant if not on the slightly humid side. The monsoonal moisture is moving off to the east and were going to dry out a bit. I actually rather enjoyed the short little thunderstorms we've been having lately.

Anybody hear from Orly? If you're sending him stuff to that PO Box, be careful how you pack it and what you send. I send a few sample bottles of Vermillion and they were crushed and sent back to me. Because I didn't label/disclose them as liquid to USPS they grabbed a whole bunch of packages I sent and held them as well. This has become a major hassle and the three hours at USPS this morning were no fun.

This isn't anything specific to Orly I don't think but I guess the PO Box might has been full and something had to give. Apparently little bottles in this case. -Magnus
