Yes it is ShannonA...My grandfather still acted like he did in his 40s and 50s till he had a really bad set of strokes...he's in his 90s now and still doing good but it makes me sad to see so much of the spark in his eyes is gone...

Read it again. You can't grow younger. You can get older or die.
But now that you've mentioned it I wouldn't want to be younger either ... I'm content. No desire to do it all again.

Thanks for that. The only people who have ever really succeeded in making me feel old are the young Turks in Information technology, all so proud of their MCSE's and Cisco certifications. These people (in general) refused to learn anything about "my" technology but would endlessly be asking me about how they could interface to it thereby forcing me to learn theirs.
They were the main reason I decided to retire, I just couldn't stand their "mainframes are irrelevant, they'll all be gone in five years" arguments, which of course I've been hearing for at least the last 25 years.

I think you may have misunderstood unless you know something I don't. Somebody on ~ECF~, presumably a woman, freaked out for some reason and I was given warning. It appears that it's somebody that I trounced in the OUTSIDE! who is now following me around on the INSIDE! looking for posts of mine to report. *waves hi*

Well, I'm off shortly to the sleep lab for a polysomnogram (sleep study), which is why I had to stay up all night last night...they wanted to make sure I sleep tonight. Needless to say, I'm going to be jonesing for ECF tonight and I'll miss you guys!
